Can anyone suggest a particular VPS hosting company for me to consider?

I have specific requirements:

I'm looking for physical servers, optimally based in Europe

There should be no restrictions on traffic

My budget tops around ~$5.month, with desired specifications being: disk ~ 200 Gb, CPU - 4 cores, RAM - starting from 4 GB

I value a robust uptime

Any recommendations for a decent VPS hosting provider would be appreciated.
As of now, OVH seemed alright, but it falls short with regards to disk space and adding an extra 50 GB doesn't seem to be a pragmatic solution.
Google cloud is out of my league pricewise and Amazon doesn't fit my requirements.

Given your specifications and budget, it might be a bit tough to find a VPS that ticks all the boxes, especially with a hard limit of $5 per month. However, there are some potential VPS providers that could possibly meet most of your needs:

Contabo: Based in Germany, Contabo has low-cost VPS options. They offer a VPS with 4 vCPU cores, 8 GB RAM, and 200 GB disk for 4.99 Euro per month. Unlimited traffic is listed, and they have a 99.9% availability guarantee.

Hetzer: This provider is also very affordable. Their servers are located in Nuremberg, Germany, and Helsinki, Finland. However, their budget plans don't reach your desired specifications. If you could consider increasing your budget a bit you might be able to meet the specifications you desire.

Vultr: Although this platform isn't as cheap as Contabo, they offer a wide array of services and have data centers in Europe. Unfortunately, at your budget tier, they can't match your desired specifications.

4.Scaleway: Based in France, this company's lowest tier option doesn't meet your desired RAM specification but comes close in other areas. They do offer a generous amount of storage, but it might be little over your budget.

In addition to the options already mentioned, the following may also suit your needs:

Time4VPS: Time4VPS is a hosting service provider located in Lithuania, Europe. Even though the specifications you stated exceeds their standard VPS package within your budget, they have quite flexible customization options which might help you get what you want. However, you might have to adjust your expectations about the budget or the specifications to find a suitable plan.

A2 Hosting: This service has data centers in Amsterdam. While they offer unlimited bandwidth, their storage, CPU, and memory offerings at your stated price point don't quite meet your specifications. However, their reputation for solid customer service and uptime are positives.

UpCloud: UpCloud has several server locations across Europe. While their lowest costing plan doesn't meet all your requirements, combining a few of their services or going a bit over budget could get you close to what you're after.

Hostwinds: Again, while the basic pricing model doesn't necessarily fit with your specs within the budget, you may be able to find a reasonable deal with the customizable options. They have a reputation of robust uptime and customer service.

In general, remember that $5/month is a very tight budget for the specs you want, especially considering a robust uptime and unlimited bandwidth. You might have to be prepared to relax your restraints a bit, either on the budget side or the specifications side. Remember, cheaper doesn't always mean better, especially when it comes to hosting services. You typically get what you pay for, and reliable, high-performance hosting is usually worth spending a little bit more on.

Here are a few more options to consider:

FastComet: Although they generally have high prices, from time to time they offer long-term deals worth considering. They provide servers in London and Frankfurt. With their sales, you might find a package that fits your needs and budget.

Hostinger: Hostinger is known for its affordable hosting services. They have a VPS plan with 4 Cores, 4 GB RAM, and 2 TB traffic but with only 60 GB SSD for around 16 Euros/month (prices subject to discounts and changes). They have data centers in the UK and Netherlands.

Aruba Cloud: This European hosting provider offers a wide range of VPS plans - some of which are fairly economical. For example, you can get a plan with 1 core, 1 GB RAM, and 20 GB SSD for roughly 1 Euro/month (if you compromise a bit more on your needs).

DigitalOcean: DigitalOcean has data centres all around the world, several in Europe. They have a range of droplet plans with different capacities.

Keep in mind that this is a relatively low-cost sector of the hosting market, so plans tend to change frequently, and you may not always get the specs you want at the price you want. In addition, lower cost plans can sometimes come with trade-offs in terms of quality of service, support, or uptime, so it's a good idea to read reviews and terms of service carefully.

OVH stands out from its competitors due to its exceptional price-to-quality ratio.
It is rare to find a service that offers comparable features at such an affordable price.
However, one must be cautious when encountering similar claims at such low prices, as they often hide hidden drawbacks.

When facing limited disk space, one option is to purchase a VPS with lower specifications to act as external storage. This can provide a larger disk capacity and a low latency connection to OVH.

Hosting in Europe can be costly due to the high standard of living and higher salaries, resulting in expensive services. Consider Ukrainian hosting services, which provide a European-like experience at a much lower cost. It's quite interesting that even countries like Bulgaria offer hosting solutions at competitive prices.
