With significant advantages, a dedicated server is quite difficult to manage and, of course, is not suitable for everyone. First of all, knowledge and experience in technical details are needed. True, the lack of complexity in the settings has a downside in the form of the advantage of flexibility. Although, frankly, this drawback is partially solved by the control panel (there are both paid and free options). Finally, the biggest disadvantage of a dedicated server is its cost. Therefore, it is logical that it should not be chosen by those whose budget is limited.

PS. If anyone knows any other disadvantages of this type of hosting, please share your knowledge here.

A dedicated server is really good in many plans, but the cost is too high. Perhaps this is an ideal idea for small jobs, but for large projects that require a dedicated server, but with a limited budget, this is too dangerous an idea.

The main disadvantage of dedicated servers lies in the area of capital investments required to pay for hosting services.
A hosting provider may charge an exorbitantly high monthly fee for website maintenance. Even if you manage your site yourself, you will still need a special team of technicians, which will also be expensive.
A dedicated web server is not an ideal option for web sites with moderate traffic, since virtual hosting may be quite enough for such cases.
The lack of physical access to the server means that data protection and backup must be performed on the host side, and you will not be able to control these processes.
Unlike virtual servers, dedicated servers do not offer additional features such as free scripts.
