My dating site has recently been gaining momentum, the client base has become huge. I chose a simple path, connected a server from HPE ProLiant Intel Xeon 2x E5 2430 V2 2500Mhz 12 core Standard successfully satisfies my business requirements.

I believe that this is the server of choice for a home or a small company that is on the transition from conventional system blocks to full-fledged server solutions. It has a compact housing, the noise level is quite low. There is also a high-performance processor and ECC memory, and you get all this at a reasonable price. I think you made the right choice.

the tenth generation HPE Proliant DL180 Gen10 web server. At one time, the DL160/180 models were very popular with our customers. But with the tenth generation of these machines, there was a pause. And here's the long-awaited news: these models are finally coming back.

What exactly are these DL160 and DL180? These are 1U and 2U servers targeted at small and medium-sized businesses. They have everything you need, there is nothing superfluous, and at the same time the price is maximally reduced.

In general, the 100th series of HP Proliant servers is rightfully considered legendary. And especially beloved among small businesses, as well as among medium and even large customers. Why? It's very simple. DL160 and DL180 are full–fledged web servers with good scalability, legendary HPE service, ease of implementation and further operation, and, perhaps, the best management and monitoring system among competitors. All that makes it possible to solve the main business tasks among small business customers and is perfectly suitable for individual applied tasks in medium and large businesses. At the same time, as mentioned above, the price for these web  server lines is very attractive. What's the trick? In vendor marketing.

The pricing procedure of strong vendors is not secret for their customers: a specification is formed for business tasks, which is then subject to discounting directly from the manufacturer. Of course, the discount strongly depends on the volume of such a specification – the larger it is, the more significant the discount. In the case of the 100th series, the vendor saves consumers from that procedure by immediately applying a good discount directly from the factory.
In our opinion, that is an absolutely sound idea that makes it possible to simplify the calculation and purchase of web  servers for different types of tasks as much as possible. In general, the national product has a proletarian price.

This was the case until the appearance of the 9th generation of DL160 and DL180 servers. Perhaps the 100th line became so massive that it began to displace more advanced web  servers from the 300th line, or the production of such low-budget servers at some point turned out to be economically unprofitable for the vendor. The fact remains that the cost of 100–series web servers in the 9th generation, although still very competitive, is not as attractive as before.
And the customer had a reason to think: is it worth buying DL160 Gen9 or Dl180 Gen9, slightly saving, or is it better to pay a little more and buy a more advanced model from the 300 series? And if we consolidate the virtualization tasks to the masses?! In general, it's a reason to think ... And as the practice of our sales has shown, more and more customers, when choosing 9th-generation servers, come to the decision to buy exactly the 300-series.
