Can you recommend a suitable registrar for me to register around 20 domain names for free and without hassle?
I plan to sell several small websites to different parties, but they will require domain names. It would be greatly appreciated if you could offer any advice.

Why not consider registering some .xyz domains for just 99 cents when it comes to selling? You can also find hosting services that offer a free domain, either as an addon or as a third-level domain.

This way, you can easily transfer the hosting account to the buyer, who will become the domain manager. Check out the list below for some more options:

There are a few websites, such as dot.tk, dot.ml, and freenom.com, where you can register a domain name for free. However, keep in mind that the domain will be under the zones .tk, .ga, .gq, .ml, and similar ones. These countries, including Gabon, Mali, and Tokelau, are undeveloped. If your only aim is to upload a project and showcase it to a small audience, then this option works fine.

But if you have bigger plans, it's crucial to consider the following:
Search engines use geolocation to determine the location of a website in search results. Even if you have a high-quality site with relevant keywords, if it's under a free domain zone, which is generally situated in Africa, for example, search engines will assume your site targets African residents, making SEO more difficult.

Additionally, registrars may do whatever they want with the domain name, and you have little control once you've registered it for free. Some registrars, like freenom, sometimes block domain names for no apparent reason, especially those with good traffic or attractive names. After this occurs, registrars may offer to sell the domain name to you for a higher price.

While it may be challenging to find a registrar that allows you to register 20 domain names for free without any hassle, there are some options you can consider. One option is Freenom, which offers free domain registrations with extensions like .tk, .ml, .ga, .cf, and .gq. However, please note that these free domains may not be as reputable or widely recognized as traditional ones.

Another option is to look for deals and promotions offered by popular registrars such as GoDaddy, Namecheap, or Google Domains. They occasionally run promotions where you can get discounted or even free domain registrations when purchasing other services.

Keep in mind that managing and selling multiple domain names can still require some effort and potentially incur additional costs, such as renewal fees. It's important to read and understand the terms and conditions of any registrar you choose before proceeding.
