There are several domains (.info,.com,.net) that expire in a month. I won't renew with the current registrars, it's too expensive, and the sites are so-so, I will do the transfer. The question is - if you do the transfer now, will this remaining one month be added to the 12 months of the transfer or will the domain be extended for exactly 12 months?

The question stood like this - to transfer domains now or 5-7 days before the end of the delegation.

From my own experience I will say that it is risky to transfer before 5-7 days. There was a case when the transfer was suspended, the domains did not last, they were barely saved. Now I don't risk it anymore, I prefer to extend it at least a month before the end.

if you renew the domain name after the end of the current registration period and transfer the domain within 45 days after the end of the previous registration period (during the AutoRenew period)

If the transfer is ordered, paid for and confirmed at least one hour before the end of the current registration period, then after its expiration the domain name will continue to work during the entire transfer period.

The transfer of an already expired domain is also possible, only the domain will not work during the entire transfer period, but will be extended only after the transfer is completed. During this period, do not renew the domain name with the "old" registrar, otherwise you will lose this year.

Transferring an expired domain name close to redemptionPeriod is definitely not worth it.
