Briefly describe my case.
I have a website on joomla 1.5 located on a regular hosting.
In recent times, the site's traffic has increased significantly (November 15 - 3,979 Hosts) and the website has been disabled.

I carried out work to reduce the load on the server (disabled all the heaviest modules and plugins) and the website worked for another day, after which it was disabled again.

The hosting provider insists all the time that I need to move to a VPS, and this is 650 rubles per month for the VPS itself + 1000 rubles. administration.
But I cannot afford to pay for hosting or VPS such an amount.
Which can you recommend?
What direction to look?

I would arrange shared hosting or VPS with the following characteristics.
Would withstand attendance up to 5000 hosts per day.
places of the order of 50 GB
Traffic unlimited
mailboxes 5-10
ftp access
For hosting - cPanel (or something similar)
+ standard set required for Joomla 1.5 - MySQL. php etc

I have not worked with VPS so far, so in case of an offer, please recommend not only the price of the VPS, but also its settings and administration.

I have a small web studio.
I have been working with the current  hosting provider for 3.5 years, I have 3 accounts and about 10 websites hosted on them.
In the case of a appropriate offer, I will gradually move.

Switch to cloud hosting.

"Cloud" is a model of suitable network access to the provider's computing resources (processor time, RAM, disk space, network channel, software, etc.) provided by the client. The client can in real time, without the intervention of the service provider, change the parameters of consumed resources in case of changes in their own needs for them.

Deploy your own infrastructure and manage it dynamically from a suitable real-time control panel.
Cloud hosting is the rental of computing server power to create your own servers in the cloud and distribute resources between them online. The main difference from traditional hosting is the unique flexibility and scalability of this solution.
Suitable management of allocated resources and servers created by the client at his own discretion, without intervention from the provider in these processes.
The client himself determines when and how much resources he needs.

Cloud hosting
Cloud web hosting uses multiple servers at the same time. It takes RAM from one server, CPU power and other resources from the other. The load on the equipment is uniform and web sites work more stably. Suitable for a large online store with a large number of transactions.
It differs from its virtual brother only in a high level of reliability.
Each site file in the cloud is copied to 3 disk copies on different servers. If something happens to one server, it is quickly replaced by another and this will not affect the operation of web site. The sites work stably and you always have a spare engine.

VPS hosting
A virtual private server is needed for popular sites with 3-10 thousand visitors per day. Entrepreneurs of all spheres will be able to appreciate the advantages and comfort of using virtual servers, which allow you to save a lot on the purchase and maintenance of the necessary physical equipment. In fact, a physical server is no different from a virtual one, except for the cost of buying hardware and its regular maintenance.
The key feature of VPS is that it can always be customized based on current needs.
The user gets full access to all administration features: installation of any software or replacement of the operating system, an infinite number of deployed web sites, domain zones, databases and other services. Scalability and flexibility of settings make the server the optimal solution for business. Cloud capacities will ensure stable operation of all digital processes.

By what criteria to choose web hosting
Choosing places for the database, many are guided by low-cost tariffs. But for maximum web hosting efficiency, you need to focus on many factors.

Backup. Regular automatic saving of information and settings will help in case of force majeure to quickly restore data and continue working.
Download speed. The indicator of uptime should be at least 99.9%.
The number of databases. Since resources are evenly divided among all clients, the more "neighbors" there are, the more restrictions there will be when working.
The amount of disk space. The standard indicator is 1-2 GB. It is better, of course, to give preference to a higher volume — from 5 GB.
RAM. It depends on the number of visitors to the online store who can be on the web at the same time. The minimum is 64 MB, but for optimal site performance it is better to focus on 1000— 4000 MB.
The choice of hosting for an online store directly depends on its attendance and the number of products sold. We recommend using the trial period to test web hosting and see if the conditions are right for you. In this case, the risks of making a wrong choice are reduced to zero.

You need to choose the host that suits your needs and provides constant and uninterrupted services and support.
Try considering, and also server hosting packages.
So far, you will experience great network uptime, and the servers will be fast.

I know several reliable and flexible web hosts: and also - Professional!
They are optimized for application hosting and provide more security, reliability and speed than traditional web hosts.

Why not give web host a try?
Awesome support. They usually reply 20 minutes after you submit your ticket with a logical answer.
Can't ask for more...
