Title: Free hosting for small website?
Post by: JohnS on Aug 04, 2022, 09:43 AM
I am looking for a free hosting service for my website that has only a few html pages and one of them includes a jQuery modal window. Do you have any recommendations? Additional information or suggestions related to free web hosting would be appreciated as well.

Looking for a free hosting server is not recommended as the quality of services provided by them is usually poor, and in case of any issues, you may not be able to make a claim. It is better to opt for a stable and affordable hosting server, such as Comodo or GoDaddy, depending on your budget, as they offer good quality services at reasonable prices.

In my experience, I have never had any complaints with the services of Comodo, where I have hosted three resources, whereas GoDaddy has been great for my energy-intensive resource.

It is not advisable to choose free hosting even if you have a small website with just a few pages, unless you only need it for testing purposes. However, if you still need free hosting, WordPress.com is a good option as it is a well-known engine that offers free hosting with some limitations.

Wix is a popular choice for those who prefer customizable templates without coding experience, while Weebly is another free hosting alternative with unique features. Although primarily focused on blogging, Blogger can also be used to create a real website with some CSS.

As you know, the performance of the jQuery library (located at https://code.jquery.com) does not depend on the software provided by any hosting provider. Features of the pages that use it depend only on the user's browser and its settings. Therefore, it does not matter which provider you choose. I advise you to pay attention to the ads loaded on your pages, this is a really unpleasant feature of free hosts. ;)
