Which is the best free hosting? I've never worked with common free hosting, which one is better to choose?
I will use free hosting to host a little site with a couple of hundred pages.

Beget hosting has fine performance there, but I don't know more decent ones.

But for $1, you can install a VPS, with all its features, well, plus another $1 per domain for a year. So is it worth getting in touch with free hosting because of such ridiculous amounts?

Wix is another fully hosted website builder that offers free site hosting. Like most free hosting services, it is supported by the display of ads and Wix.com branding on your free website. You can get rid of it by switching to their paid plans.
The free plan will give you Wix.com subdomain, access to site templates, 500 MB of memory and 500 MB of bandwidth. For more information, see our comparison of Wix and WordPress, where we analyze the pros and cons of both platforms.

Weebly is another popular free website builder that you can use. It comes with an intuitive drag and drop builder and ready-made templates for creating a website.
Their free plan includes a Weebly subdomain, 500 MB of storage, and displaying Weebly ads. You can upgrade to their paid plans to get rid of ads, get more storage space and unlock new features.
You might want to see our detailed comparison of Weebly and WordPress, which shows the advantages and disadvantages of both web site platforms.

Squarespace is a popular site creation platform that does not require any technical skills. It offers beautiful professional templates and an intuitive drag and drop interface.
They offer a limited 14-day free trial of site web hosting. This gives you access to their website builder so you can try out its features. Your site will not be publicly available unless you sign up for a paid plan.
Paid plans start at $11 per month. Each plan comes with a free custom domain name, unlimited bandwidth, storage, and ready-made site templates.

Thanks to you, I learned about the Squarespace platform. Very convenient for creating a website. It's nice that there is a free period and quite not short-term. I will definitely use it because I have been wanting to create a website for a very long time.
