Quote from: Zora2012 on Aug 21, 2022, 07:45 AMMany people keep old smartphones or tablets that are still functional but no longer suitable for their intended purpose. Rather than throwing them away, they can be repurposed for other uses. For example, if the screen is broken or the battery doesn't hold charge, the device can still be used as a second camera or for other non-intensive tasks.
One idea is to use such devices to display advertisements and earn money from ad impressions. However, finding an application that serves solely for displaying ads on the screen can be challenging. It can be an interesting project to create an app that allows users to earn money from displaying ads on their old devices, similar to a "mining screen" concept where ad networks pay for impressions.

A simple and user-friendly interface to configure ad display settings and track earnings.

Domain Requests / Re: Keyword .info or Abracadab...

I am certain that Google, despite being a search engine, recognizes that not everyone can have a key to success. It's futile to focus solely on domain keys when, in reality, it's the quality of content that matters most. The content is the determining factor, not the domain. If the content is strong, the website will progress naturally, regardless of the domain. However, attempting to revitalize a lifeless website with domain keys, without substantial content, will only result in minimal success.

Moreover, it's always better to have a key rather than meaningless information, even if it's short. This is particularly important for engaging with a Western audience. In the end, the content is king.

Wordpress is often recommended for improving SEO, especially if you regularly publish new content.
Is cataloging still a relevant practice? - It's more likely to have a negative impact.
One alternative is to opt for a simple CMS.
Another option is to create one or more "landing pages" using html.
I believe that the decision largely depends on how frequently you plan to update or add content - if it's a frequent occurrence, then Wordpress is definitely more convenient.

I suggest securing a domain and hosting without delay, and launching at least one page. The longevity of the site is also a factor to consider, or you can purchase a domain from the secondary market with a history, although this process is as swift as catalogs and charlatans.

Yes, gamers can create and trade their in-game assets in the metaverse. These assets, frequently referred to as non-fungible tokens (NFTs), can represent a huge range of digital items, such as virtual actual estate, avatars, artwork, collectables, and more. Through blockchain technology, players can own, buy, sell, and trade these special digital assets securely and transparently inside the virtual world. This functionality allows for a decentralized financial system to emerge within the metaverse, the place where players have autonomy over their digital possessions and can interact in a vibrant market driven by supply and demand.

The recent reduction in access to .us domain name ownership data has significantly impacted my workflow and approach to creating websites. Previously, I could easily access the Whois database to obtain detailed information about domain owners, including contact details and registration history. This allowed me to efficiently verify the legitimacy of a client's requested domain and ensure that it was available for use.
However, with the changes in access to .us domain ownership data, I am now challenged to find alternative methods to confirm the authenticity of domain ownership. This introduces a new level of complexity and uncertainty into the web design process.

One of the immediate impacts is on the initial stages of a web design project. It is common for clients to provide their desired domain name along with other project requirements. Previously, I could quickly check the availability and ownership of the domain to advise the client and proceed with the design process. Now, the process of domain verification requires more time and effort, as it may involve contacting the domain registrar directly or using third-party verification services, which are often less reliable and may incur additional costs.
It is vital to ensure that the client holds legitimate ownership of the chosen domain name. Without easy access to accurate domain ownership data, there is a risk of unintentionally designing a website for a client who may not have the legal right to use the domain, potentially resulting in legal disputes and reputational damage for both the client and myself.

Moreover, the new restrictions on accessing domain ownership data have also raised concerns about security and trustworthiness. Identifying and reporting fraudulent or malicious websites is more challenging without transparent access to domain ownership information. This has implications for the overall integrity and safety of the websites I design and for the users who interact with them.

In response to these challenges, I must adapt my approach to verifying domain ownership, incorporating additional measures to ensure the legitimacy and security of the websites I create. This might involve developing more robust client verification processes, collaborating closely with domain registrars, and staying updated on evolving regulations and industry best practices.

Domain Requests / Re: Keyword .info or Abracadab...
Last post by Embatsmom - Yesterday at 09:10 AM
The effect is minimal.

And why do you limit yourself to just two choices? Perhaps it's worth exploring other domain zones and names?

I'm not a fan of .info, but it's still an internationally recognized and reasonably large domain zone. Moreover, if we have a strong keyword, the domains will only be available in CC, CO, ME, etc. zones.

The text emphasizes the importance of various factors for SEO, including titles, descriptions, keywords (which are less important nowadays), meta tags, site loading time, user-friendly content, link structure, behavioral factors, and direct links from popular resources. It also mentions the role of content management systems (CMS) in managing website content and their impact on site performance. The author emphasizes the primary goal of any web system to be the generation of HTML.

I often consider these SEO factors when creating and maintaining websites. It's important to balance functionality and speed with SEO optimization to ensure a positive user experience.
