In my experience, the registrar allows one more month after the domain renewal expires. During this month, you can renew the domain, and it will remain on your list, but from the first day of the month, the site on this domain will not work. A month later, the same domain can be registered by anyone.

During the domain name registration period, renewal can be done at any time or within 28 days after the expiration date. If the owner fails to renew the domain registration on time, it falls into the Redemption Period status for 30 days in which it can still be restored, but at a higher price than the registration/renewal price, set individually by each domain zone administrator.

It's important to note that not all domain zones offer Redemption Periods; for example, it's not applicable to GOV.UA, .EDU.UA, and .BIZ.UA. After the Redemption Period ends, domain names are deleted from the registry and acquire a Pending Delete status, which lasts about five days, and during this period, domain restoration is impossible.
