Hello.

Would anyone be able to provide a reliable source of high-quality, free images? Specifically, images in the .png format without a background are preferred. Is there a service that does not require adherence to copyright laws?
As I've done some initial research on Google, I would appreciate hearing the input and recommendations from experienced individuals within this forum community.

Explore these free image resources, which offer high-quality images that can be used for both personal and commercial purposes:

Unsplash is a well-known photo bank that regularly updates their high-quality images, completely free of charge.
Pexels provides a library of free photos, which is available on their mobile app as well. The search function allows you to look up images by keywords or emoticons.
Getty Images allows non-commercial sites to embed some of their images for free.
Pixabay is a community-driven platform that offers free images for commercial use. Their search function includes parameters like color, orientation, and size. They also have a mobile app available for iOS and Android.
Rgbstock requires registration to access its content, but it's free. Users can also create their own galleries to share photos with the community.
Realisticshots adds seven new high-quality photos every week, all of which are free for personal and commercial use.

It's crucial to acknowledge that most images on the web are automatically copyrighted, so using them without proper permission could lead to consequences such as search engines removing pages from your site or facing legal repercussions. If opting for third-party services rather than free photo stocks, be sure to double-check the memo for legally using the images without violating copyright laws.

(added) Always respect the work of artists and photographers by ensuring proper credit is given where it's due. Using free images doesn't give one the right to take ownership of someone else's creativity, so make sure to read through the terms and conditions carefully.

Platforms like Unsplash, Pexels, and Pixabay offer a vast collection of high-resolution .png images without backgrounds, making them ideal for various design needs.

When using these platforms, it's crucial to review the licensing terms for each image. While these websites offer free images, some creators may have specific requirements for attribution or usage. It's essential to comply with these terms to avoid any potential copyright issues.

For web design projects, it's recommended to use images that are not only visually appealing but also relevant to the content and purpose of the website. This ensures a cohesive and professional appearance for the overall design.

In addition to ensuring the absence of background in the images, it's important for web designers to pay attention to various factors such as resolution, relevance to the website's content, and consistency with the overall design concept. This attention to detail contributes to a polished and visually engaging website.

Moreover, while these platforms provide free access to their image libraries, it's crucial to review the specific licensing terms for each image. Some images may require attribution, while others may have restrictions on commercial use. Adhering to these terms not only ensures legal compliance but also demonstrates respect for the original artists' work.

In addition to Unsplash, Pexels, and Pixabay, web designers can explore other platforms such as Freepik, which offers a wide range of .png images with transparent backgrounds. Freepik provides a blend of free and premium content, giving designers access to an extensive collection of graphics, illustrations, and photos suitable for web design projects.

For those seeking niche-specific imagery or illustrations, platforms like Flaticon and VectorStock can be valuable resources. These platforms specialize in scalable vector graphics (SVG) and icon sets, providing designers with customizable elements that can enhance the visual appeal of their web creations.

It's important to note that while these platforms offer free content, they may also feature premium options or require attribution for certain types of usage. Therefore, carefully reviewing the licensing terms for each resource is crucial to ensure alignment with copyright laws and ethical design practices.
