Hi there,

I am interested in increasing traffic to my YouTube channel and was considering creating a video. However, given the length of the process, I decided to experiment with finished videos instead.

For example, I selected the "weight loss" niche, identified high-frequency searches and searched for popular videos on YouTube. After downloading them, I uploaded them to my channel and set access to "public". Surprisingly, I didn't get a single view for the whole day.

This experience contradicts my previous one where even unpopular videos received views. Consequently, I would like to know the reason why this is happening and how I can promote my videos going forward.

In terms of promotion, I am considering using Google Ads that advertise YouTube videos for views, as well as collaborations with video bloggers who can insert ads into their videos. Do you have any other suggestions?

One way to begin is by writing comments under popular videos, as this might encourage some viewers to visit your channel.
To ensure long-term success, however, it's important to develop a thoughtful promotion strategy.
For instance, uploading videos during prime time and sharing them widely on social media or other platforms can be effective tactics.
Additionally, optimizing videos with relevant keywords and phrases can help attract organic traffic.

Finally, it's worth noting that the first 1,000 subscribers can be difficult to obtain, and it's important to avoid using aggressive bots that might harm your channel in the long run.

It seems that you may be experiencing a "shadow ban" on your video, which occurs when YouTube algorithms identify that the content is not original and subsequently lowers its visibility in recommended videos.

One option you can try to avoid this is by editing the video. This could include cutting out any unnecessary footage, mirroring it, or applying a filter, among other techniques. By making these changes, the video may appear more unique to YouTube's algorithms and thus receive greater promotion in the future.

That said, it's always important to prioritize creating original video content whenever possible to avoid issues like these.

In order to effectively promote a video, it's important to start with optimizing it. This involves writing relevant tags (up to 500 characters), focusing on high-volume, low-competition keywords and placing the primary ones first. The title should also include a keyword without declension and incorporate questions or appeals (e.g. "How", "How much", etc.). Additionally, it's important to post videos regularly, add a detailed description (with a focus on the first 250-300 characters), include time codes and links to your social networks/website/other videos, end screensavers, and hints with references to what's being said in the video.

There are also a range of both free and paid methods to promote your videos. Free options include sharing your videos on groups and channels, posting links on forums and websites, email and messenger mailings, and asking colleagues to view, comment, like, and share your content. Paid methods include buying a spot in similar Facebook groups, advertising through Google Ads, using cheat services (although this can result in bans), purchasing advertisements on other YouTuber channels, and collaborating with channels that have a common audience.

However, it's important to remember that patience is key when it comes to growing your audience. Regularly producing quality content will ultimately help establish your presence and attract an increasing number of viewers.
