Greetings everyone. We are currently in the process of searching for new hosting options to accommodate our WordPress news website, which is expected to attract a daily attendance of 50K-100K visitors. The abundance of choices has made it quite challenging for us to make a decision.

After thorough research, we have narrowed down our options to Host-3 or VIP-1, and adminvps VIP or VDS Micro/Start all inclusive. Our team lacks any prior administration experience, hence it is imperative for us to choose an option that simplifies this process while being able to handle heavy traffic.

We kindly request advice from anyone with relevant experience using any of the aforementioned services. Our priority lies in ensuring that our website functions seamlessly without any technical issues or downtime. Thank you.

Allow me to suggest that you begin with a dedicated and straightforward web server. The influx of visitors is unlikely to reach 50k all at once, but it's crucial to read reviews about the company that provides the date server. I once encountered issues while ordering from a web server provider years ago; the website did not function for an entire week because they had one IP address for all sites on the block, causing someone's site to crash. This resulted in losing a customer. Masterhost is not recommended, and you'll understand why if you check them out. They eliminated 56 thousand client sites!

The same principles used in games or programs are applicable here. The more RAM, processor, and disk bandwidth available, the more stable the website will be. If there are 50-100k visits, the VP may not work correctly, particularly with larger plugins connected to it. The OS also matters - I suggest opting for a server with Debian (Ubuntu is a free distribution with paid support, but it's a fork of the Debian). CentOS works well too. However, I do not encourage the use of Windows servers.

Bandwidth depends on many factors. For instance, you could put a clean VP on several hosting sites to check ping rates, which can be done via cmd.exe on windows or numerous online services.

Before choosing a hosting service, it's essential to determine the type and scale of your project. Corporate websites, online stores, and highly loaded projects with complex functionality require different hosting solutions. Standard virtual hosting tariffs are suitable for corporate websites and small online stores as they are cheap and cost-effective. Medium-sized online stores will require virtual servers, while dedicated servers optimized for 1C-Bitrix and high load are necessary for large-scale projects with tens of thousands of products.

It's crucial to consider financial costs when selecting a hosting service. While you shouldn't skimp on quality, it would be best not to give away more than you need to either. If you run a small business with a corporate website containing only a few pages, for instance, you won't require a hosting service with the same capabilities as a large hosting provider with a dedicated server.

When seeking a certified hosting service, ensure that it supports PHP8, which is the norm for all Aspro solutions. Lastly, if you don't have a website yet, join us - we offer a discount on outstanding Reddock web hosting to license kit buyers.

I've been moving from host to host trying different ones out, and so far Datapacket.net web host has been the best. Top notch support! I have had no problems with any aspect of this service. They are great. The uptime is excellent, their promise of 99.9% is correct.

Based on the options you've mentioned, Host-3 and VIP-1 seem to be more suitable for your needs.

Host-3 is designed to handle high-traffic websites, and it offers a good balance between price and performance. It provides features like unlimited bandwidth and storage, which can be beneficial for a news website with a large number of daily visitors.

On the other hand, VIP-1 is a premium hosting service specifically optimized for WordPress sites with high traffic. It offers dedicated support and advanced caching technology to ensure fast load times and minimal downtime. While VIP-1 might be more expensive, it can provide additional peace of mind with its robust infrastructure and support.

If you lack administration experience, it's worth considering options that offer managed hosting services. Adminvps VIP or VDS Micro/Start all inclusive are examples of such services. Managed hosting takes care of technical aspects like server management, security updates, and backups, allowing you to focus on content creation and running your website. This can be particularly valuable if you don't have the expertise in-house to handle these tasks.

Here are some additional points to consider when choosing a hosting option for your WordPress news website with heavy traffic:

1. Scalability: It's important to choose a hosting provider that can scale resources as your website grows and attracts more visitors. Ensure that the hosting option you select allows for easy scalability without causing any disruptions to your website.

2. Performance and Speed: With a high-traffic website, performance and speed are crucial. Look for options that offer features like caching, Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), and optimized server configurations to ensure fast load times and smooth user experience.

3. Uptime and Reliability: Downtime can be detrimental to your website's reputation and user experience. Look for hosting providers with a proven track record of high uptime percentages and reliable infrastructure. Conduct research and read reviews from other users to gauge their reliability.

4. Security: As a news website, security should be a top priority. Ensure that the hosting option you choose offers robust security measures, such as SSL certificates, firewalls, malware scanning, and regular backups.

5. Support: Since your team lacks administration experience, having access to reliable customer support is important. Look for hosting providers that offer responsive and knowledgeable support to assist you with any technical issues or concerns that may arise.

6. Cost: Consider your budget when making a decision. While it's important to invest in a hosting option that can handle your website's traffic, make sure it aligns with your financial resources.
