Calling a function declared later in the code.

Is it possible to call functions in JavaScript at a place in the code where this function has not yet been declared before, or is it necessary, as in C ++, to first declare (through a prototype), and then call. That is, I know that it is possible, but what is the syntax for declaring such functions? ::)
