A lot of people I know are doing programming now. So one of them is a website developer, and he gave me the idea to also start developing websites, tell me which language to start learning, and give me some tips.

I advise you to start by learning HTML - this is the very first thing you need to know. And it is better to use the simplest editor first, you can even use a notepad. To do this, find the most common HTML tutorial or YouTube - courses. Create your simple site first on free hosting, and then you can learn JavaScript to improve your site. Having basic skills, then you yourself will understand what should be studied. :)

HTML

This is a hypertext markup language formed from the English abbreviation "Hyper Text Markup Language".
It is the very first language in web programming, which appeared at the beginning of the Internet. Programs created in this language are static pages interpreted (reproducing) by Internet browsers.
As a rule, sites created using only HTML are small static pages that require frequent changes and dynamic content.

Web technologies continue to develop rapidly, and the HTML language gets more and more functions and features creating new standards, the latest of which is HTML5. HTML5 technology is very "raw" and all browsers fully support it, but most of the functions are already implemented, allowing you to create fantastic solutions.

PHP

This is a scripting server language derived from the English "PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor" - hypertext preprocessor, used to create web applications. The language does not create a website, but only solves computational and logical operations, it looks like the same HTML only with the introduction of PHP code.
PHP generates HTML code in the right place of website, the code itself is responsible for the logic of the site, its functionality and communication with the database. PHP has become widely used in the web development environment because of its simplicity, flexibility and performance.

WAP

WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) this technology allows you to display a "lightweight" website, the so-called mobile version. Such a web site is adapted for viewing on mobile devices where it is important to reduce traffic and load on the gadget itself. WAP sites use a special image format "wbmp", everything is done for one purpose to reduce the size of the site page.

ASP

ASP (Active Server Pages) translated from English as "active server pages" is a development environment proposed by Microsoft.
The essence of this technology is that code elements are embedded in a regular HTML page. ASP is a VBScript or JScript scripting language executed under the control of a Microsoft IIS web server.

PERL

Perl (Practical Extraction and Report Language) translated from English as "practical language for data extraction and reporting" is a universal general-purpose server programming language. On the server side, CGI applications are created that are an ideal tool for managing web servers, often used for implementing hosting control panels and auxiliary scripts for the work of a system administrator.

C++

C, C++ is a compiled programming language widely used in web development used on most servers, in particular for the implementation of various modules of web server extensions.

JavaScript

JavaScript is a "client–side" scripting browser-interpreted programming language. Its main task is to create interactive web pages of animation effects and work with DOM elements.
No modern site is conceivable without JavaScript, it can be used to fully load pages, the so-called AJAX site, which speeds up the work of the site, especially if it has a large amount of data and complex functionality.

CSS

CSS "Cascading Style Sheets"  can be called a conditional programming language, responsible for the appearance of web pages written using markup language (HTML, XHTML, SVG, XUL). The CSS3 standard, supported by all modern browsers, is able to embody the designer's wildest fantasies, create stunning animation effects, while JavaScript is much more productive.
