Title: DomainNameSales - reviews, questions
Post by: yoginetindia on Nov 27, 2022, 06:11 AM
Is anyone registered there? How much are the payouts and sales?

During my first registration, I added one domain, but it didn't generate any income. After waiting for about a week, I decided to try again with the same data and email. This time, I added several dot coms into the domains field instead of my whole portfolio. However, there was a warning message stating that every domain I added would be checked to ensure that it wasn't low-quality or consonant with a trademark. If so, my entire portfolio would be ruined, and I'd have to resend it.

The next day, I received an email stating that my portfolio was too small since they only accept domainers with a portfolio of several thousand domains. Interestingly enough, most of the domains I sent were previously parked with them by other owners.

Sales are doing well, but it's worth noting that every domain is unique, so my stats might not be the same as yours. I can share how many domains I sold and how many offers I received last year, but the results could be better or worse than what you've achieved.

I moved all my domains from Sedo because of several reasons. Firstly, the monetization was better on this new platform. Secondly, they had more engaging pages for parked domains, especially those with sale-related information. Thirdly, brokers were available to help sell domains and determine prices.

Fourthly, the platform was initially created by a Shilling for itself, which made me think it was reliable. Fifthly, unlike Sedo, DNS shows all the information about the interested buyers. Lastly, they charge a lower commission rate of either 4%, 6%, or 12.5% if you sell your domains or if their brokers sell them.

Apart from these reasons, there are many more to consider. I signed up for the platform in October 2011 when it first opened to the public. This platform accepts hyphens and non-premium domains, but they don't allow any trademarked domains. Unfortunately, they haven't yet accepted Russian Federation zone domains, but they promised to do so in the future.

I reached out to them with my registration inquiries and concerns about the portfolio size they accept. They responded, stating they didn't have any unanswered requests, so if something did go wrong, they advised me to contact support directly.

Regarding portfolio size, they suggested that your domain names should be sellable, even if you have fewer of them.

In my opinion, before submitting your domains for registration, they might check your WHOIS information. If you have private WHOIS on your domains, they won't be able to see your domains, and therefore, they might assume that you only have a few of them.
