As part of my duty, I was tasked with a challenging request. The issue at hand was a common one. The client wanted to move their domain from one company with bad actors to another, specifically switching from .ua to .com.ua to avoid trademark issues.

Naturally, we sent a request to the new registrar for the transfer, but were surprised to find out that they required passport data in order to process the request. This was odd, as there were no such conditions outlined anywhere.

After some investigation, it became clear that the domain was actually registered to the company, and not to the individual or legal entity using the registrar's services. As a result, the transfer request would have to be made using the company's passport data.

The client was understandably uncomfortable with this request, so I spent hours on the phone with the registrar's support team to come up with an alternative solution. Eventually, I was able to secure the ability to send a physical statement via post.

So here I am, preparing to mail a stack of documents - a task I have never done before. It's a bit of an unexpected romance, but such is the nature of the job!

I have had some experience with a particular web hosting service and would gladly recommend them. What's more, this provider is even ranked first on Google for the search query "Hosting in Ukraine", excluding paid advertising.

My personal turnover with this company is over 40 thousand hryvnias and I receive platinum discounts on hosting, domains, and servers.
