Have you noticed that some hosting automation software, including those developed by large companies for their own use, do not offer a domain management option that allows users to modify domain name server information and contact details or may not support the registrar?
How do these software programs handle domain management requests from their users in this case?

Our previous hosting service, Hostdime/Surpasshosting, did not offer a domain management option on their CORE system, and I could not find this option on Blesta, Boxbilling, or Hopebilling either. Even if the function existed, the registrar may not have API for it. As a result, how do hosting providers handle domain requests that are unrelated to billing, registration, or renewal?

We currently work with a local hosting company and use Resellerclub's Supersite to enable our customers to manage their domains via RC's advanced interface. However, due to RC's high prices, we are considering moving our domains to Dynadot. Unfortunately, Dynadot does not have a reseller program. Can we handle domain management requests via email instead? Our primary focus is on hosting services rather than domains.

When these programs do not offer domain management options for modifying name server information and contact details or do not support the registrar, they typically handle domain management requests through alternative means.

One common approach is to provide users with a manual process for making these changes. This might involve submitting a support ticket or contacting the hosting provider directly to request the necessary modifications to the domain settings. The hosting provider or system administrators can then manually update the domain's information as per the user's request.

Another option is to integrate with third-party domain registrars or management platforms that offer APIs for domain management. By integrating with these services, the hosting automation software can allow users to manage their domain settings directly through the third-party interface, bypassing the limitations of the hosting software itself.

Additionally, some hosting automation software may offer domain management functionality through advanced customization or plugin development. This allows users to extend the capabilities of the software by creating custom tools or integrating with third-party services that specialize in domain management.

Furthermore, hosting automation software developed by large companies for their internal use may have proprietary solutions for domain management that are not available in the commercial version. In such cases, these companies may have dedicated teams or systems in place to handle domain management requests from their users, ensuring that domains associated with their hosting services can be effectively managed.

While some hosting automation software may have limitations in domain management options, there are various ways in which they can handle domain management requests, either through manual processes, integrations with third-party services, custom development, or dedicated internal solutions. It's essential for hosting providers to ensure that their users have the means to manage their domains effectively, even if the built-in software features are not comprehensive in this regard.
