Hello Dear friends! I want to try an old feature for efficiency, which was also written about in old textbooks on HTML 4.0, where a script was given that added the site in the browser as a home page immediately when entering the website itself. Either adds it automatically or offers it to user.
Who can tell in that matter? I'm not good at JavaScript, I used to remember on almost every website on the Internet there was such a sentence as = Make our site a home page.
I am interested in the opinion of all forum participants, if anyone is ready to help in solving the issue, I will be extremely grateful.

A cursory googling showed the results of 10 years ago, now there are no such methods in the browser objects. The web has matured and, I suspect, the shop has been closed for a long time.
Now, basically, they put shortcuts on the desktop.

who is going to start some kind of unknown website now? )
everybody has Google or, in extreme cases, a local portal of some kind or something like a picaboo.

Changing the home page in Chrome is done through the settings. You can set up a custom page that will open when you open Chrome, but there is also a special "Home" button that can be enabled, which works just like a bookmark.

One way to use the Chrome home page is to set up a page or set of pages that will open each time Chrome is launched:
Click the menu button in the upper-right corner of Chrome and select Settings .

Chrome Menu Items
Scroll down to the " At Startup" section and select the radio button next to "Open a specific page or set of pages".

About launch options in Chrome
Select Add a new page , enter its URL and select Add . Or select "Use Current Pages" to automatically add all URLs that are open in Chrome (you can delete all pages that you don't want to use as home pages).

Add a new suggestion page in Chrome
Another way to use the Chrome homepage is to show the Home button on the toolbar. When you click this button, you will be taken to the page you specified.

Go to the settings screen as described above, but this time go to the "Appearance" section.
Make sure that the Show Home button is enabled.

Chrome Show Home Button Option
Just below this section, use the second option of the tooltip to enter the URL of the website you want to open when you click the Home button.
