I have a probably stupid question:
I had two sites at different hosting providers, I need to get domain for one of them. And it seemed logical, that they should be subdomains in the same domain (stupid, I know, because I still need to draw a third site for the main domain, but this is another question, also difficult for me, so figs with him for now).
But one of them does not support binding through an A-record, only transfer to its own DNS servers (the second one allows both).

It seemed, that such things are done by NS-records. That is, I go into the management of my domain, add two NS records there with the names issued by the host (ns1.hosting.tld and ns2.hosting.tld) to the name site1.mydomain.info, two with other servers to the name of another site and forward. ..

As you may have guessed, none of this worked out. The first site was found only when its DNS servers were added to the domain-wide list. The second one was not even found, I had to bind it through the A record.

Okay, two sites are finished. And if I want to add a third subdomain to this domain? Fourth?  How are subdomains managed by different generally configured servers ?

Place somewhere (where it is possible to change DNS zone records) a domain with two NS records, and if necessary, write additional A-records, from the IP on which these A-records will be located.

Where additional A-records will actually be located, you can simply create a "www-domain", with the specified IP.
In general, if you use all sorts of sockets, etc. then there is nothing complicated there - in the domain panel create another "A" record), and just add this domain ( type blabla.mydomain.com) to the hosting.

Advantages of website subdomains:

the created subdomain is absolutely independent from the main address of the project
free 3rd level domain names are allowed with different and unrelated topics
install any engine or CMS
search engines define them as independent resources, index them separately accordingly
it is possible to register third-level domains in directories and services for free site promotion
the main page of a subdomain is better indexed than the headings and subdirectories of the main website .

each subdomain name can have its own independent administrator
search engine ban does not apply to the main domain name
Of course, in order for the advantages to really turn out to be advantages, you need to competently approach the issue of registering and free promotion of the site's subdomain, otherwise you will only get problems on your own head.

The main disadvantages of subdomains when indexing a website . The disadvantages here are very serious and sometimes it is easier to develop a new subdomain than to deal with an old one that has fallen under the filter of search engines.

more unique content is needed to successfully promote the subdomain network
high probability of getting banned by search engines
even one banned level 3 domain can affect the reduction in the search results of the main
good indexing requires high backlink mass
low-functional blog subdomain account

After getting acquainted with the advantages and disadvantages, you should think carefully whether you really need to create your own free subdomain, whether the game is worth the candle. It should be remembered that a 3-level domain is promoted for free much more difficult, and search engines pay less attention to it. And yet, if you decide to promote each subdomain as independent sites, please.
If not, then direct all your efforts to the development of the main domain, get decent incoming traffic, and then you will have the opportunity to get decent income from the website on contextual advertising, banners and other methods.

How to use subdomains
When we talked about what a subdomain is, we said that it is independent of the main domain name. That is, all actions that are performed on the subdomain do not affect the main domain at all. So, a CMS different from the main domain can even be installed on a subdomain. All that makes the subdomain suitable for use as a testing ground, where you can test a variety of themes, plugins, and even other CMS.

But, nevertheless, the main thing for which subdomains are suitable is convenience on a website with a complex and cumbersome structure. For example, large online stores can place their product categories on subdomains. At the same time, in view of independence, each rubric can be implemented in different ways.

Subdomains and SEO
Again, due to the fact that the subdomain is independent of the main domain, its promotion is carried out separately. So, even if, say, the main domain has some kind of TIC, the subdomain will not have it. For a subdomain, even the robots.txt file must be separate.

Therefore, when talking about what a subdomain is, it should be mentioned that it will have to be promoted separately.
