What Is Web Hosting? how it is beneficial for us ?

Hosting is a service that provides space on the server for storing information, the smooth operation of the site. Without it, the site will not be able to function.

I will describe it in my own words. Hosting is a space, like a land plot, where you are a tenant of the land. Like any tenant, you can build and plant almost anything on it. It's clear that if you only need to create a small site, then you will not rent a site the size of a state, but take a small site (the rental price depends on the amount of disk space and the technical capabilities of the server)

I would describe Web Hosting as a service for your files on the Internet. In other words, there is an organization that provides a service for your files and shows them to all users. In essence, Web hosting is like an open pantry where all your files are stored for viewing. For users, this means quickly gaining access to the files of the landlord, that is, the one who rented a place from the hoster (pantry). Each such "pantry" has several types of lease. For example, we can both rent together with other people, and the entire section. There is also the possibility to rent part of the pantry, which will be protected by a special type of encryption - the cloud. In general, I think you understood the allegory.

What is website hosting?
This word is derived from host (node).
Most often, this term means web site hosting — this is when someone provides you with a "piece" of the server (a special service computer with the necessary software and working almost without human involvement).

This server is connected to the network all the time (of course, electrical, well, information, i.e. to the Internet) and you can use the "piece" allocated to you to place files and databases of your site(s) on it.
Website hosting is a service that physically hosts site pages on a server (files and databases). In other words, it is a remote round-the-clock computer where your website is stored. Even a simple one-page landing page needs to be stored somewhere. ..

There are many nuances and moments that affect the cost of this service. It all depends on the size of the "piece" of the server (the resources allocated for you), on the type of service (virtual hosting or virtual dedicated server), well, and on the "coolness" of the server itself (sometimes you have to use several servers at once to distribute a high load).
The price, accordingly, can range from one and a half hundred rubles and up to many thousands of dollars (per month).

There are several groups into which you can divide the hosting services provided by the hosting providers. We'll talk about this in more detail below, but for now I'll just list them:

Virtual (shared) hosting — many (very many) sites on one hardware unit (server — service computer). There are restrictions on the resources consumed, but neighbors can "push elbows". But it's cheap and very easy to use.

Dedicated virtual server (VPS\VDS) — there may be many sites on one server, but they should no longer have any influence on each other.
A little more expensive, but much more difficult, because you are given only a "container", and you will fill and configure yourself (or hire someone).

Dedicated server — you get "all the hardware" at your sole disposal. No neighbors and all the power of the server is yours alone. The price in this case depends on the steepness of the "piece of iron". Well, all the settings are your headache.

Cloud hosting — you are allocated a resource in the cloud, i.e. not on a specific hardware unit, but in general (in a pool with a bunch of host machines visible as one cloud).
The trick is that all this can be easily scaled without a strict line of tariffs (from zero to infinity). Often, the payment is charged only for the consumed resource.

Colocation — just bring your own server (box) to the hosting provider's datacenter and put it in a rack (or somewhere else), connect it to the network, the Internet and monitoring.
Everything else is like a regular dedicated server, but here you pay not for server rent, but for renting space in the server room.

Personally, I think that hosting is something like renting a store. you rent a site for the sale of things, such as clothes, and sell your goods. the same with hosting, you rent a host on special platforms. It works instead of you and serves your website / online store / trading platform without your participation. it is very convenient for busy people. hosts promote your marketplace very well. plus you can connect good monetization. if your site is small then the host should be of appropriate strength for this site. if you have a huge online store or platform, you may even need a whole staff of hosts. Now there are many platforms that will offer you profitable hosting services. platforms offering a host service also have a catalog that will help you choose the host system that suits you. but unfortunately there are a lot of scammers who, under the guise of "hosting", steal your money and gain access to your platform. be careful! glad to help, I hope my review will be useful and you will be able to choose a profitable hosting
