Hosting prices have changed a lot in the last 10 to 15 years.
In the early 2000's the $8.95 / mo package with basic features was considered cheap. Then the price dropped to $7.95 / mo, then $6.95 / mo, $5.95 / mo and below.
To find out what the right price for web hosting is, many people research over 1,000 hosting plans each year, how do you do?

Ten years ago I chose inexpensive hosting for myself and since then I have been cooperating only with it. More than a dozen sites on information topics have already been created, and I will say that for small projects the basic tariff is quite enough, so it makes no sense to increase the tariff by buying additional storage space. In fact, hosting prices are now quite adequate, especially when you consider that many companies also offer additional discounts and attractive rates upon registration.

In general, the price of web hosting varies from $3 to $18 per month. When choosing, consider the following:
- Bully resistance (that is, sites located on it are not disabled under any circumstances - complaints, claims, etc.);
- flexibility of settings;
- protection from spam;
- frequency of data backup;
- additional functions.

HostGator is a large web hosting company, its own data centers are based in Houston and Austin (USA), as well as in India (Maharashtra). The assortment includes an exhaustive list of services, basic and additional (for site maintenance), but the most popular is shared web hosting.
Since 2008, shared hosting has been offered in an "unlimited" format, when the resources allocated for one account have no explicit restrictions. In this way, the use of any HostGator tariff turns out to be much more profitable than competitors' offers. That's probably why the provider was chosen by the owners of more than 2 million web sites from different countries.
shared web hosting for one site, it will cost from $2.75/month. But if you have a lot of web sites, it's better to switch to the Baby Plan tariff (from $3.5/month) or higher right away. You can place any number of your domains and CMS here.

Special rates for WordPress (also suitable for online stores on WooCommerce) – from $5.95/month.
VPS servers can be rented from $19.95/month (for a configuration with a dual-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, 120 GB SSD disk and 2 dedicated IPv4 addresses). Special cloud configurations on cPanel with guaranteed resources – from $4.95/month (2 cores, 2 GB of RAM, unlimited disk).
Dedicated server rental – from $89.98/month.
Windows (ASP) web hosting – from 4.76/month.

Web.com – it is one of the largest web hosting providers in the world, data centers are concentrated in the USA, hence the orientation to this market (+Channel and other neighboring countries).
It will be especially interesting for representatives of small and medium-sized businesses due to the comprehensive offer of related services: site promotion, advertising campaigns, development of individual design, provision of business mail, commercial SSL certificates, etc.
Payment for access to the online constructor starts from 1.95 USD/month. But the constructor is difficult to compare in functionality with a full-fledged web  hosting.

Classic shared web hosting Web.com – from 4.95 USD/month. At least 300 GB of disk space, a large number of mail and FTP accounts. A gift domain is provided even with a monthly payment.
Unlimited hosting plan, which offers unlimited disk space – from 9.95 USD/month.
Special rates for web  hosting WordPress web sites (have improved performance):

For one web  site – from 7.99 USD/month (50 GB on disk, 10 business mail accounts);
For three sites – from 13.98 USD/month (100 GB on disk, 25 email accounts, commercial SSL certificate);
For five web sites – from 18.98 USD/month (200 GB on disk, 50 mailboxes, commercial certificate).
There are no VPS or dedicated servers in the assortment.
