Yes, ChatGPT Images 2.5 can make asset generation and quick compositing ridiculously fast, but "replace Photoshop" is mostly influencer bait right now. Real design work involves grids, vectors, layers, color profiles, retouching, and repeatable production pipelines.

AI wins the ideation and iteration race; established tools still own the finishing workflow. The interesting question is whether designers need fewer tools, not zero tools.
