Abusive Activity Alert: Domains Suspended by .IN Registry

Hey there, so about a month ago, I grabbed hold of 30 domains in the .in zone. I started setting up one of them, working on the engine, tweaking the template, and so on. The other 29 domains were left untouched, just placeholders. They all revolve around medical topics. And then, out of the blue, all 30 got blocked, while the older ones, which have been around for years, stayed untouched. I also got a letter with this message.

We got a heads-up from the .IN Registry that there's suspicion of abusive activity with the following domains, violating the anti-abuse policies: www.registry.in/Policies/IN_Anti_Abuse_Policy You can check the domain reputation at www.urlvoid.com/. As such, we've suspended the domains after finding evidence of their involvement in abusive activities. Also, the domains may have been placed on ServerHold by the Registry.

Question. Can these domains really be unblocked, and what could the real issue be (I registered the domains in cp.dominant.lt - did you only work on one domain)?

And another question. When it comes to buying 10, 20, 30, or more domains, is it better to buy them all at once or one by one? Any specific things to consider in such situations?

Thanks in advance!

The sudden suspension of your 30 .in domains presents a challenging situation that requires a nuanced approach.

Addressing the Suspension:
First and foremost, it's crucial to thoroughly understand the specific reasons for the suspension of the domains. This involves conducting a comprehensive review of the content and activities associated with each domain. Look for any signs of potential abusive behavior, such as spamming, phishing, or other illicit activities that may have triggered the suspension. Engage with the .IN Registry to gain a clear understanding of the evidence that led to the suspension. Additionally, be prepared to provide detailed explanations of the legitimate intent behind each domain, particularly as they pertain to medical topics.

Domain Reputation Management:
Managing domain reputation is a critical aspect of running a portfolio of domains, especially those centered around sensitive topics like healthcare. Utilize reputable tools and services, such as www.urlvoid.com, to regularly monitor the domain reputation and identify any anomalies that may have led to the suspension. Take proactive measures to address any potential issues that could impact the domains' reputations, such as addressing security vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and maintaining high-quality content.

Reestablishing Legitimacy:
Demonstrating the legitimacy of your activities and the value of your domain portfolio is paramount to gaining the trust of the .IN Registry and potentially having the domains unblocked. This may involve providing detailed dоcumentation of your plans for each domain, including the development of high-quality, informative content related to medical topics. Additionally, showcasing a commitment to ethical marketing practices and user privacy can bolster the case for reinstating the domains.

Strategic Domain Acquisition:
When considering the purchase of multiple domains, strategic planning plays a pivotal role in building a reputable and successful domain portfolio. Carefully select domains with an eye toward quality over quantity. Thoroughly research each domain's history, potential reputation, and relevance to your intended use. Additionally, spacing out domain purchases allows for a more focused approach to developing and managing each domain, reducing the risk of overwhelming the resources available for effective oversight and management.

Moving Forward:
While the suspension of your 30 .in domains undoubtedly presents a significant setback, it also represents an opportunity to refine your domain portfolio's legitimacy and value. By engaging with the .IN Registry in a transparent and solution-oriented manner, addressing the underlying concerns, and diligently managing the domain reputation, it's possible to work towards lifting the suspensions and continuing with your web endeavors.

It's irrelevant where the domains were registered.

The .IN register occasionally conducts purges of domains they find suspicious. It's even more problematic than directi.

They simply suspend the domains, and if the owner is innocent, then the process of sending letters and unlocking them begins.

Reach out to the .IN register, communicate. They will unlock the domains. I advise against being aggressive, even if they have made an error.

Possibly the Indigenous people viewed the domains as pharmaceutical sites? Register with the registry or through the registrar.

Have you considered examining the issue on URLVoid? It's important to address this problem as a priority.

Thirty domains in the medical field, and you think they'll all be fine? This is a classic case of domain hoarding without strategy.

The Registry doesn't mess around when it comes to abuse, they'll suspend first and ask questions later. Instead of buying in bulk, which is just asking for trouble, you should focus on quality over quantity.
