Hello there!

Currently, there are three sites hosted on the Wordpress 2 tariff, which comes with 20 GB of SSD and 1 512 MB. However, the hosting service is constantly reporting overloading issues due to the rather voracious nature of these sites.

In light of this, a decision has been made to switch to a VPS running Vesta CP. The question now is what kind of tariff should be chosen for this purpose?

One suggestion is the VDS SSD-1.

It is evident that for websites with a voracious appetite, it is recommended to opt for a minimum of 2 GB of operable memory and 2-4 cores.

In addition, it would be advantageous to choose 4000 MB of RAM while using Vesta CP, as the software itself requires approximately 350MB to 400Mb. Plus, there will still be the website(s) running concurrently.

In the event that you lack the necessary administrative skills, it would be wiser to seek out a more reputable and reliable hosting provider.

It is important to keep in mind that VPS requires regular configuration, monitoring and updates. Simply installing a panel will not suffice for optimal performance.

Moreover, Vesta CP may not be the best choice due to its reputation as a low-quality product with serious vulnerabilities that have yet to be addressed. It is essential to prioritize security and stability when selecting a hosting provider or server panel.

It is highly advisable to run a test before purchasing a VDS, as there may be issues with dead processors or disks.

In addition, it is recommended to install a reliable control panel such as ISPmanager for optimal performance. In the event that ISPmanager is not an option, Centos Webpanel or BrainyCP are acceptable alternatives, provided you can still edit the software set after installation.

Lastly, allocating more memory towards database cache and opcache can significantly improve overall performance.

One of the primary benefits of VPS is the availability of vast resources, as well as the flexibility to customize and install specific software.

That being said, it is crucial to acknowledge that VPS hosting comes with the added responsibility of overseeing server configuration and security. As such, it is recommended that companies with a qualified system administrator on staff consider VPS for a more productive and secure solution.

While VPS hosting does come with certain disadvantages - such as higher costs compared to shared hosting and the need for administrative skills in complex management - it is important to weigh the potential benefits against the associated expenses. Having a reliable and stable website performance can prevent financial and reputational losses while timely software updates and network analysis can ensure website security.

All in all, VPS hosting may be right for you if you require more resources beyond what shared hosting can provide, prefer to administer your own server and have the budget to accommodate the additional costs.

VPS hosting is a versatile solution due to its ability to accommodate various needs. Nonetheless, it is crucial to keep in mind that the responsibility of server configuration and security ultimately falls under your jurisdiction. It is therefore recommended that businesses with a qualified system administrator on staff consider VPS for optimal performance and security.

With the help of a skilled system administrator, a VPS can be transformed into a highly efficient and impregnable solution.

The VDS SSD-1 is a good choice for hosting three WordPress sites that have been causing overloading issues. It provides a solid performance with its 1 CPU, 2 GB RAM, and 20 GB SSD storage. However, it's important to consider the specific resource requirements of your sites and their expected growth in traffic.

If you anticipate that your sites may continue to grow in terms of both traffic and resource requirements, you might want to consider a higher-tier package, such as the VDS SSD-2 or VDS SSD-3. These plans offer more CPU cores, RAM, and storage, which can handle increased demand without causing overloading issues.
