I used to work as a web designer, creating appealing designs and selling templates for DLE. Later, I joined a small startup where I worked on design, frontend and backend development (learning php from scratch), analytics, A/B testing, and database management. We also ventured into internet marketing, launching email newsletters. Then, I moved to another office primarily focusing on backend development with some frontend work as well. In summary, my experience is diverse. Currently, I'm taking a Front-End Advanced course to enhance my skills in the visual aspect of web development. Through practical examples, I realized how impactful it can be when frontend developers transition into internet marketing with their extensive experience.

This brings me to a thought-provoking question: Does internet marketing offer a higher salary compared to web development? I find myself unable to decide whether to pursue frontend or backend development, but I'm contemplating if analytics and internet marketing could be more promising and lucrative options.

Therefore, as a marketer, one must be prepared to shoulder the blame constantly, until the perception of internet marketing changes in our country. Business owners must understand that, for instance, contextual advertising is merely a means of targeting traffic and not a magic formula for sales. While it is possible to make quick and substantial earnings in internet marketing, stability is not guaranteed. Some may thrive on the constant change, risks, and stress, but for those seeking reliability, internet marketing may not be the ideal choice. Furthermore, as a freelancer, one must continuously search for new clients since long-term partnerships are rare. Eventually, clients may become dissatisfied and seek out better specialists.

In my opinion, marketing is an intricate and unstable profession. It is much simpler to acquire coding skills and peacefully work behind a computer screen, tapping the keys, and receiving a secure income.
