Could you answer two questions for me, please?

1) What is the limit on the number of domains that a person can register?

2) Is it advisable to buy a domain in other zones (such as .net) if I need a particular .com domain for commercial purposes?

1. There are no restrictions on the number of domains that a person can register.

2. Some people believe that it is not necessary to register a domain in all available zones due to the high cost and impracticality, but it is still recommended to register in popular ones such as .com, .org, .net, .info and .biz. However, I disagree with this and suggest only registering in .com initially. If the project grows, then additional zones can be considered.

1. I once registered more than 20 domains in my name, and there were no problems. It is unlikely that registrars make any restrictions.

2. If you need a domain in the .com zone, you can buy it. The .net domain zone is also great for commercial sites. There are no fundamental differences between domains in these two zones. Here is only your choice.

There are no restrictions on the number of unique domains that can be purchased by a company or an individual. Domains can be acquired for personal use, company name, products, special presentations, or as gifts as long as the domain name is unique.

Registering a domain in different zones can result in multiple entry points for the same website or creating similar or identical content across different websites. In search engine optimization, these websites with similar content and different domain addresses are called mirrors.

To avoid competition between these sites and to reduce performance issues due to duplicate content, 301 redirects are used. A primary site is selected from among the mirror sites (either the most popular amongst users or with a neutral domain zone name) and users of other mirror sites are redirected to it. Only the main site will be displayed in search results and the link profiles and indicators from the mirror sites will be assigned to the primary website.

This approach helps quickly improve the ranking of the website and address other business issues.

1) It's important to note that while there is no set limit on the number of domains you can register, there may be practical limitations. Managing a large number of domains can become complicated and time-consuming, especially if you have different websites or businesses associated with each domain. It's advisable to consider the resources and time you can allocate to manage multiple domains effectively.

2) When it comes to commercial purposes, having a .com domain is generally preferred. .com is the most widely recognized and used domain extension, making it easier for customers to remember and find your website. It has a strong association with commercial activities and is often considered more trustworthy by users. However, if the .com domain you desire is not available, registering a domain with a different extension, such as .net, can still be a viable option. Just ensure that the alternative extension you choose is relevant and doesn't create confusion among your target audience.

Domain name registration is the process of securing a unique website address on the internet. It involves registering your chosen domain name with a domain registrar, which is an organization accredited by ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) to provide domain registration services.

Here are a few key points to consider:

1) Domain Extensions: There are various domain extensions available, such as .com, .net, .org, .edu, .gov, and many more. Each extension has its own purpose and target audience. It's important to choose an extension that aligns with your website's purpose and target audience.

2) Availability: Before registering a domain name, it's important to check its availability. Many domain registrars offer search tools that allow you to check if a specific domain name is already registered or not. If a domain name is already taken, you may need to consider alternative options or negotiate with the current owner to acquire it.

3) Registration Process: To register a domain name, you typically need to provide personal or business information, including your name, address, email address, and phone number. Some registrars may offer additional privacy protection features to shield your personal information from public WHOIS databases.

4) Renewal and Expired Domains: When you register a domain, you typically do so for a specific duration, such as one year, and have the option to renew it before it expires. If you fail to renew your domain on time, it can become available for others to register. It's important to keep track of your domain renewal dates to avoid losing ownership.

5) Registrar Considerations: It's crucial to choose a reputable domain registrar that provides reliable services, customer support, and competitive pricing. Consider factors like ease of use, domain management tools, DNS services, and security features when selecting a registrar.
