DNS Configuration Woes

I encountered an issue yesterday with the control panel on Internetbs. I had registered ns1 and ns2, along with IP addresses for each ns-a provided by the hoster. Initially, the domain was up and running smoothly, but after 2-3 hours, it suddenly stopped working without any intervention from my end. Initially, I suspected a glitch with the hoster, only to discover that the problem lay with Internetbs' DNS, which had replaced the specified DNS with the default ones.

I attempted to re-enter the DNS details, inputting ns1, ns2, and the corresponding IP addresses. However, upon saving, only the ns-s were retained while the IP addresses vanished. I'm puzzled by this glitch and would appreciate any advice or assistance from experienced individuals in the field of Internet operations. Has anyone here encountered a similar issue before?

Any help would be greatly valued. Thank you.

P.S. I've just re-changed the DNS to my own specifications. However, moments later, on checking the domain, I found the ns-s back to their previous state, as depicted in the screenshot. Quite perplexing.

The fact that the DNS details were not retained after inputting ns1 and ns2, along with their corresponding IP addresses, is a cause for concern. This anomaly suggests a possible malfunction within the control panel's system, leading to the erroneous replacement of specified DNS with default ones, despite your proactive attempts to rectify the situation.

In situations like this, it's crucial to document the steps you've taken, including any error messages received, and capture screenshots to provide a comprehensive overview of the issue. These details will be instrumental in conveying the precise nature of the problem to Internetbs' technical support team, thereby expediting the resolution process.
Moreover, it's imperative to persistently engage with Internetbs' support channels to ensure that your feedback is acknowledged and addressed. Emphasize the impact of these technical hiccups on your website's availability and performance, as well as the implications for your online business or project.

No need to mention the IP address!

You should only register the name servers provided by the hosting service.

If you plan to use the registrar's DNS, you have to specify the IP address and register it in the A record, while keeping the registrar's name servers.

You can either register only the hosting service's name servers or, by default, specify the registrar's name servers and register the IP in the A record.

For further information, consult the domain name registrar.

It's important to verify the output of your domain using tools like drill or nslookup. If you're not sure about the results provided by one tool, you can always try another for confirmation. These tools can be accessed from any machine on the network, including a VPS hosting a website. For example, nslookup is available in the Windows command prompt.
It's essential to ensure that the domain's DNS is correctly pointing to the correct name servers, and by querying only the A record, you can retrieve the IP address of your web server using drill. This process helps to troubleshoot and verify the DNS configuration, ensuring smooth access to your website.
