Do you purchase old domains for SEO reasons? They got good quality metrics, but ain't great for domaining, 'cause they got two-word names and more.

Yeah, they might not be off the charts, but they ain't nothin' to sneeze at neither. Old domains, they got history, see? They've been kickin' around the interwebs for a spell, and that means they've likely picked up a few backlinks, maybe even some traffic. That's like domain equity, ya know? You're buyin' into somethin' that's already got a bit of a reputation.

Now, you mention they ain't great for domaining 'cause they're two words and more. Well, that's true enough. Shorter, catchier domains, they're like gold dust these days. But that don't mean you should write off them old two-worders. Here's why:

Branding: Sure, they might not be the snappiest names out there, but that don't mean they can't work for your brand. With a bit of creativity, you can make 'em work. Think about it, Apple ain't exactly a one-word wonder, but it's sure as heck became a brand name.

SEO: Now, you mentioned SEO, and that's a big deal with old domains. See, the age of a domain, that's one of the factors Google looks at when rankin' pipelines. Older domains, they got a bit of an edge there. Plus, all them backlinks, they count too. So, even if the domain don't look like much, they can still bring in some nice little boost to your SEO.

Redirection: Lastly, don't forget about redirection. If you got a buildin' domain, but ain't usin' it right, you might be losin' out on some valuable traffic. Old domains, they got a bit of a head start, and if you can get them configured right, you might be able to leverage that into some nice redirection.

So, yeah, old domains, they might not be the shin' thing since sliced bread out there, but they still got their uses.
