Could you explain to me the way how to decline buying a domain on sedo.com and to take part in auctions for domains there? I made an offer to get a domain for $1,500, and the seller said yes.

However, I can't locate the option to back out of the transaction in my account, I only see a sales agreement and a bill for payment that appears to be due in 5 days. Is there a way to opt-out of this purchase and still be able to join other domain auctions without incurring any losses?
I wasn't able to find a way to cancel everything in my account.

It can be tricky when you want to back out of a purchase on platforms like sedo.com.

First, it's important to note that once you have made an offer and the seller has accepted it, you are generally obligated to complete the transaction. However, there might be a possible way to withdraw your offer if you act quickly.

Here are the steps you can follow:

1. Contact Support: The best first step is to contact Sedo's customer support directly. Explain your situation clearly and ask if there's any way to cancel the transaction. Sometimes they can help if the payment hasn't been processed yet.

2. Review Terms: Check the terms and conditions you agreed to when you made the offer. There might be stipulations about canceling a transaction. If you find clauses which might allow backing out, mention them when you talk to support.

3. Communication with Seller: If you can, reach out to the seller and explain your situation. They might agree to withdraw from the sale, especially if the payment hasn't been made yet.

4. Timeliness: Act quickly. Since you mentioned there's a payment deadline, you need to go through these steps as soon as possible. The sooner the better to avoid any complications.

5. Account Settings: While you are looking for options in your account, check the "My Offers" or "Pending Transactions" sections. Sometimes there might be options to cancel or decline an offer there.

6. Future Auctions: If you manage to cancel the sale, you can immediately return to participating in other domain auctions. Just be mindful to thoroughly review your offers before committing in the future.

7. dоcument Everything: Keep records of all communications during this process. If there's any issue arises later, having dоcumentation could be your best ally.

If the account matters a lot to you, perhaps it's worth it to reach out to the seller through Sedo and offer an apology; you never know what might happened. Of course, I'm pretty sure that Sedo will still ask for their commission, but that's not exactly uncommon practice. After you give it a shot, let me know how it goes and what the outcome is—I'm really curious about it!

Have any transactions been made from the account so far?

If it's not verified, you shouldn't worry, even if you're located in the EU.

I had a similar situation, where my deal just vanished; Sedo was dragging its feet for a month, even as I already finalized a sale with another buyer for the domain.

They hit me with a $25 penalty. :) Initially, I thought about putting the blame on their fee, but then I ended up selling two of my domains for a decent amount... I decided to cover the penalty.
