I recently offloaded Colleague GPT/com for a mere $100, but I've been kicking myself ever since, realizing I could have commanded a significantly higher price point (likely in the range of a few thousand or less).

At one point, I was experiencing a dry spell in the domaining space, with no sales to speak of, which led me to adopt a liquidation mindset and list all my domains at the minimum price allowed by Dan.com ($100).

Fast forward to the present, and the domain is being flipped. While I'm not thrilled about it, I acknowledge it's just the nature of the beast in the domain trading ecosystem. Kudos to the reseller for snagging a great deal, though!

I wouldn't be surprised if I come across a post in the future announcing the domain's resale for a few thousand bucks.

This experience has taught me a valuable lesson: patience is a virtue in the domaining space. I've since reverted to my usual pricing strategy and will maintain it going forward.

I thought it'd be beneficial to share this anecdote with fellow newcomers to the industry, as it serves as a reminder to avoid impulsive decisions and stay the course.

Your experience with Colleague GPT/com serves as a prime example of how impulsive decisions can lead to missed opportunities. By listing your domain at the minimum price point, you essentially gave away a valuable asset, which is now being flipped for a potential profit.

In the domaining ecosystem, it's essential to stay the course and maintain a strategic pricing approach. This means conducting thorough market research, identifying trends, and setting realistic price points that reflect the domain's value. As a domainer, you need to be prepared to hold onto your assets for an extended period, waiting for the right buyer to come along.

Your decision to revert to your usual pricing strategy is a step in the right direction. However, it's crucial to remember that even the best strategies can fail, and it's essential to be adaptable in this ever-changing market. Continuously educate yourself on industry trends, and be prepared to pivot when necessary.

In the world of domain trading, it's not uncommon to see domains being flipped for substantial profits. While it may be frustrating to see your former asset being resold, it's essential to focus on your own portfolio and strategy rather than dwelling on past decisions. As the saying goes, "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush." Focus on nurturing your existing assets, and the right opportunities will come along.
