Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen.

I just wanted to create a huge portal a la MFA, with the expectation of many thousands of hosts per day in the future.

So, I wondered, if I register a domain with a reseller, in which I have always registered my sites, then when I reach those "many thousands of hosts per day" it will not "disappear" suddenly from me?

Or do not save money and register with a normal registrar?

Of course, I will register with my own data.

Tell me, please, I will be glad to get a good answer :)

When it comes to registering a domain, the choice between a reseller and a normal registrar can impact the stability and security of your website.
Registering with a reseller may seem convenient, especially if you have a history of using their services for your other sites. However, when scaling up to accommodate "many thousands of hosts per day," it's crucial to consider the infrastructure and support provided by the reseller. While some resellers offer competitive prices, their technical capabilities and capacity to handle a surge in traffic may be limited. This could lead to downtime, slow loading times, or other performance issues that could negatively impact your visitors' experience.

On the other hand, registering with a reputable and established registrar may provide more assurance of stability and scalability. A well-established registrar is likely to have robust infrastructure, advanced DNS management, and dedicated support to handle high-traffic scenarios. While the initial cost may be slightly higher, the long-term benefits of seamless scalability and reliability could outweigh the savings from a reseller.

When considering "many thousands of hosts per day," it's essential to choose a registrar that offers protection against distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, secure DNS management, and reliable uptime guarantees. These factors contribute to maintaining the availability and performance of your portal under heavy traffic loads.
While the decision ultimately depends on your specific requirements and budget, prioritizing the reliability and scalability of your domain registration is crucial for creating a successful and sustainable online presence. Consider evaluating the track record, technical capabilities, and support services of the registrar or reseller before making your decision. Remember, the stability of your domain is the foundation of your digital presence, and investing in a reputable registrar can be a valuable asset as you anticipate significant growth in traffic.

I would stress the importance of providing accurate and valid information during the registration process to avoid the risk of sudden data loss.
It is crucial to register with accredited domain name registrars rather than resellers to ensure the security and reliability of your domain. Moreover, it's essential not to compromise on this aspect by opting for cheaper alternatives, considering the potential risks involved in doing so.

One strategy to consider when dealing with a large number of domains is to explore the option of becoming a partner yourself.

By doing so, you may have the opportunity to lower the purchase-renewal price for these domains. This can potentially lead to cost savings and more control over your domain portfolio.
