Hello, I'm curious about your domain transfer experience on Namesilo.com. Specifically, I'm wondering if they require any additional documentation, such as scans, from the current owner during the transfer process.

Typically, Namesilo.com does not require a passport for domain transfers. Instead, they usually ask for a driver's license and a scan of the card.

However, it's important to note that I made a mistake and accidentally sent my passport to Namesilo.com during a transfer. They did not accept it since it was not in English and lacked a certified translation. On the other hand, I was able to send a utility bill to another registrar, Dynadot, without a translation.

It's worth remembering that while additional forms of identification may not be required during a domain transfer, they may be requested if there are any suspicions of abuse or security issues.
