Hey everybody!
I would like to ask for recommendations regarding the platforms or methods you use for escrow transfers of domains in 2023.

Here are some ideal criteria that I am looking for:
- Reasonable fees
- Ability to make payments in cryptocurrency
- Fast and reliable service

If you have any suggestions that meet these criteria, please let me know. And if there's anything you've recently used, feel free to share that too. Thanks in advance!

Considering your requirements, here are a few suggestions:

Escrow.com: This platform is frequently used for domain name transfers due to its reliability and security measures. It is widely accepted in the industry and has a straightforward process. Escrow.com supports traditional payment methods, such as wire transfer, credit card, and PayPal, but does not directly support cryptocurrency.

Epik.com: Epik domain registrar offers an escrow service that accepts various payment methods, including cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. They have a simple and secure process for domain transfers. It's worth noting that their escrow service is free of charge when both buyer and seller use Epik. Otherwise, a reasonable fee applies.

Undeveloped/DAN.com: This company has a strong focus on domain name transactions and takes a unique approach to escrow services. The platform focuses on domain transfers, including digital transfers, which can make transactions quite fast. DAN.com supports multiple cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and others.

Sedo: Sedo is another popular choice for domain name transactions. They have been around for a long time and have a trustworthy reputation in the domain industry. However, as of 2021, they do not accept payments in cryptocurrencies.

Bitrated: This is a trust platform that facilitates peer-to-peer transactions using Bitcoin. It employs a unique multi-signature transaction method to mitigate risks, but it doesn't specialize in domain transactions.

Here are a few extra potential places to consider:

Afternic: Afternic is from GoDaddy and covers several domain services, including escrow. They provide secure and seamless domain transactions, but currently, they do not accept payments in cryptocurrencies as per my information until September 2021.

Transpact: Transpact offers an escrow service for online transactions, including domains. It is based in the UK and is known for its security and cost-effectiveness. However, it doesn't accept cryptocurrencies for payments.

Escrow My Bits: This platform must be mentioned when cryptocurrency is a consideration. As its name implies, it's an escrow service specifically designed for Bitcoin transactions. Their service allows for multiple types of escrow, including multi-signature escrow. While this isn't specifically catered towards domain transfers, they could potentially be used for this purpose.

Flippa: Flippa is another marketplace used for buying and selling digital assets, including domain names. They do have their own escrow service but as of now, they do not accept cryptocurrency as a payment method.

LocalBitcoins: LocalBitcoins is a peer-to-peer Bitcoin trading platform. It features escrow protection to ensure the safety of all trades. It's more commonly used for physical asset transfers, but it could potentially be used for domain transactions as it supports Bitcoin.

While the earlier given options are among the most popular and reliable for domain name transfers using escrow, there are also some other key players in the digital domain marketplace that might be of interest to you:

Paxful: Known as a peer-to-peer marketplace for buying and selling bitcoins, Paxful also offers an escrow service. While it isn't explicitly tailored to domain name transfers, the escrow service may be adapted to protect such transactions.

Moniker: Moniker is a full-service domain name registrar which provides customers with a single point of contact for a unified experience. It also offers escrow services, although its primary focus isn't on escrow.

Namecheap: Known as a domain name registrar, in addition to it they also offer a marketplace for buying and selling domains. But as of my latest update, they did not offer escrow services or accept cryptocurrencies.

Bitcoin Escrow Ltd: They offer secure Bitcoin escrow services and could potentially be used for domain transactions.

Coinsavr: This is another Bitcoin escrow service that provides secure transaction process for buyers and sellers.

Disclaimer: Please note that while the above-mentioned platforms accept cryptocurrencies, they may not specialize in domain transactions. Therefore, while they can potentially be used for a domain transaction process, it may be worth putting more weightage on platforms that specialize in domain transfers, and ensure all aspects of the transaction can be adequately handled.

Remember to consider the transaction fees, customer support, reputation, and user feedback when deciding between these options.

Given your specific requirements, it seems that escrow services like Escrow My Bits, LocalBitcoins from the previous round of suggestions, along with Bitcoin Escrow Ltd and Coinsavr from this round, might be what you're looking for in terms of cryptocurrency acceptance, but please remember that these services aren't specifically tailored towards domain transactions.

It's clear that epik.com is not the right choice, as they abandoned their customers for a massive sum of eight digits.
As a result, customers are left with neither funds nor a domain.

It's important to choose a reliable domain registrar that values its customers and ensures their security. Trustworthy providers prioritize transparency and safeguard user investments, preventing any unexpected losses. Always do thorough research and read reviews before making a decision. Remember, selecting a reputable registrar is crucial for maintaining the stability and integrity of your online presence.

Honestly, I can't say for sure, but I suspect that further negative information about GoDaddy will surface online. My experience with Epik was pretty smooth, transferring domains was an easy process, although I've noticed the site's performance decreasing recently.

It's worth noting that PayPal once discontinued its services with Epik due to Rob's unconventional perspectives.
