I recall that it looks like you aren't able to move new domains for some days.
How long has godaddy have this limit on .com? Does anyone has information?

Limitations on moving newly registered .com domains with GoDaddy and other registrars is typically a security measure. This rule is in pace to protect people from domain hijacking, which is a real issue in the online world. Generally, most registrars implement a 60-day transfer lock after you register a new domain. It means you will have to wait that period before initiating a transfer to another registrar.

This policy has been set for many years now, and it applies to most top-level domains, not just .com. Even if you've had experience with other domain registrars, you'll find that these rules are pretty standard across the industry. If you're looking for specific updates or changes to these policies with GoDaddy, it would be best to consult their support or FAQs on their website, as they occasionally adjust their terms and conditions.

Also, if you plan to transfer a domain that was recently registered, remember to keep an eye on the registration date and calculate the 60 days from that point. Sometimes, people forget when they bought the domain and mistakenly think they can transfer it earlier. Keep in mind that the transferring process can also be delayed by other factors, such as if the domain is locked or if the registrant's contact info isn't verified.
Pretty much it's a standard 60-day waiting period for .com domains at GoDaddy, and being aware of these rules can help you plan your domain management better in the long run.

It looks like you can get it done immediately. Personally, I haven't come across the idea of "a few days" before. Honestly, I've never really waited an hour after snagging a domain. Is there some urgency?

Let's think about it: if there's any sort of delay, that's probably due to payment issues. Money transfers don't happen in a flash, especially if the funds are coming from places far away, not from America or Europe, but rather "from beyond the mists" - that's the only thought that comes to me.

You can immediatly transfer a domain on Godaddy with no delay. This is a pretty straightforward process, and it's essential for any web project.

Restrictions on new domains can spark creativity or stifle innovation. While they ensure security and quality, they can also limit opportunities for fresh ideas. Balancing rigorous standards with open access could drive innovation while maintaining a safe, reliable digital landscape. It's about fostering growth without compromising integrity.
