What Legacy TLDs Do You Skip?

Are there any established top-level domains (TLDs) that you deliberately steer clear of in your domain portfolio, and if so, what's the rationale behind this strategic avoidance?

I'm aware that this inquiry may elicit a biased response, but I'm curious to know if there are any premium TLDs that you've consciously chosen to exclude from your domain holdings, and what factors influenced this decision.

One such TLD is the.biz extension. In my opinion,.biz domains have always been perceived as less credible and less trustworthy compared to their.com or.net counterparts. This stigma is deeply ingrained in the minds of consumers, making it challenging to establish a strong brand identity. Moreover,.biz domains often come across as spammy or unprofessional, which can negatively impact search engine rankings and ultimately, the bottom line.

Another TLD that I've consciously chosen to exclude from my portfolio is the.info extension. While it may seem like a great option for informational websites, the reality is that.info domains are often associated with low-quality content and spam. This negative perception can be detrimental to a brand's reputation and make it harder to attract high-quality traffic.

On the other hand, I've also been skeptical of newer, trendy TLDs like.xyz or.io. While they may seem innovative and cool, they often lack the recognition and trust that comes with more established TLDs. In my experience, these newer extensions can be a turn-off for potential customers and may not be taken seriously by investors or partners.

In contrast, I've always been a fan of.co domains, which offer a unique blend of creativity and professionalism. However, even with.co domains, I'm cautious not to overextend myself, as they can be perceived as less desirable than.com domains in certain markets.
