Nominations are now open for the 5th annual .ORG Impact Awards, hosted by Public Interest Registry (PIR), the organization behind .ORG.

The awards recognize individuals and organizations within the global .ORG community who have made significant mission-driven contributions to society. A total of $180,000 in prize money will be awarded, with $50,000 going to the overall winner. The deadline for entries is June 28, 2023 and all nominees must have an active .ORG website.

Apart from the top prize, each category winner will receive $10,000, and all finalist organizations will receive $2,500 plus travel and accommodations for two representatives to attend the in-person ceremony on November 16, 2023 in Washington, D.C. This will be the first time PIR has held a physical ceremony since the pandemic began. A win at the .ORG Impact Awards can help raise the profile of winning organizations and drive additional donations, funding, talent acquisition, partnership development, and audience reach.

The .ORG domain has served as a trusted platform for impact-driven organizations for over 30 years, catering to everyone from individuals to multinational NGOs. The past four editions of the .ORG Impact Awards have recognized 155 .ORGs from 60 countries and donated $325,000 in prize money. Winners will be named in eight categories, including Health and Healing, Quality Education for All, and Environmental Stewardship. Entries will be evaluated by a panel of judges from the internet, nonprofit, and marketing sectors. The top five entrants per category will be named finalists on September 19, 2023, and winners will be announced on November 16, 2023.

According to PIR President and CEO Jon Nevett, the fifth edition of the awards will be special because the winners and finalists will gather for an in-person ceremony which has not happened since 2019. He encourages anyone committed to mission-driven work to submit a nomination and join the growing community.
