I received an email from Dan.com informing me about three changes that will be made to the platform.



These changes will affect most sellers and it is important to pay attention to them. The changes are as follows:

1. Sellers will be able to choose their preferred payout currency.
2. All listing prices will be converted to USD.
3. All domain names with BIN (Buy It Now) prices on Dan.com will be added to Afternic and its network.

The first change is not significant to me personally, as I have always received payouts in USD and that will continue. However, I believe sellers outside of the US may find this change beneficial.

The conversion of listing prices to USD might not have a major impact on the perceived value of the domain name. However, sellers may want to update the gross price to reflect their preferred "charm pricing." Some sellers prefer prices that end in numbers like -888, -999, or even -111. When currencies like EUR are converted to USD, these charm pricing elements may be lost and require updating.

As for the addition of domain names to Afternic's network, I don't see any downside. However, sellers should be aware of this change and its implications.
