According to data from Afternic & Sedo, .com is the dominant TLD, but there are other opportunities available.

A chart shared by Afternic showed that .com holds 85% of sales, followed by .org, .net, .co, .xyz, and .io. Sedo's chart showed a similar trend, with .com in first place and Germany's .de in second. While .com dominates aftermarket sales, there are investors who specialize in non-.com domains and still find success.

Extensions like .org, .net, and .co follow, with nTLDs like .xyz and .io gaining traction among startups and tech-savvy users. Despite .com's dominance, non-.com domains offer opportunities for domainers. Premium non-.coms can command high prices, and niche TLDs can cater to specific industries or communities.
For instance, .dev is popular among developers, while .online has seen significant growth in registrations.
