In light of GoDaddy's new aftermarket commission structure, there are a few housekeeping things domainers should consider doing to take advantage of the changes.



The new system rewards you with a 40% discount off the 25% commission when a domain is parked with a GoDaddy platform. Here are some tips for updating your Dan.com account and taking advantage of the discount.

Firstly, ensure that your domains are pointing by nameservers, not A records. This will make sure you can get the reduced commission. If you're pointing domaincontrol.com, bear in mind that the reduced commission is not currently available, so you may need to email your Afternic or GoDaddy account manager to correct any incorrect commissions.

Secondly, it makes sense to reprice your Dan listings since Dan commissions have increased to 15%. You can offer higher prices on Dan than Afternic to incentivize people to use Fast Transfer, as it's easier for you. However, until GoDaddy adds Dan's payment plans to its landers, you'll need to use Dan if you want to offer them.

Lastly, you should select your landers depending on what you want to achieve. There are three options: Parking landers, Lead landers, and Buy Now landers. Each has its own benefits, so choose the one that best suits your needs.
