Someone is attempting to sell what they claim is the "Saudi National Domain" for a comical amount of $94 million, despite it likely being a typographical error.

The domain name in question is saudiarabiya.com, as stated in a recent press release.

Interestingly, the spelling deviates from the traditional English transliteration of "Arabia" by adding a Y, which the release openly acknowledges.

The seller argues that this is the correct Arabic spelling of "Arabia," citing Al-Arabiya, an Arabic TV news channel, as an example.

However, it seems that "Saudi Arabiya" is not an officially recognized transliteration of the country's name, and it is rare to find anyone referring to it in that manner.

While certain European languages may use a Y in spelling "Arabia," none of them refer to it as "Saudi Arabiya."

The registrant aims to sell the domain via Escrow.com and is even offering buyers the option to lease it for a year at $4 million before committing to the full asking price.

On a related note, the world of domain names often sees interesting and unconventional attempts to attract buyers, and this particular case stands out as an amusing example.
