Leonardo DiCaprio's domain name, leonardodicaprio.org, was not renewed and ended up in a NameJet auction where it was purchased by someone from Indonesia for $19,500.



However, since the LEONARDO DICAPRIO mark was registered in 1998, the Forum (NAF) panelist quickly decided to grant transfer of the domain name to the complainant.

The parties involved were Leonardo DiCaprio as the complainant, represented by Monica B. Ricjman of Dentons US LLP, Illinois, US, and sandi monkey as the respondent. The disputed domain name was registered with GoDaddy.com, LLC.

There was no response from the Respondent after the Complaint was submitted on January 4, 2023, and the deadline for a Response was set for January 25, 2023. As a result, Forum appointed Steven M. Levy, Esq. as Panelist. Based on the dоcuments submitted, the Panel granted transfer of the domain name from Respondent to Complainant.
