GoDaddy Auction Withdrawal Process

The first experience with an auction on godaddy was quite new for me. I'm having a hard time understanding how to properly request my money back since I haven't done any domain trades yet. The funds should go to PayPal, and I have connected my PayPal. But that's where the problem sits. I searched everywhere but can't find a way to take out money to PayPal in the dashboard. Only Gold As Gold and bank transfer options show up.

Now, there's only a selection for payment profiles available.

Also, my PayPal account just has a debit card registered.

If you are not used to the GoDaddy interface, it can feel overwhelming. Make sure you are logged into your GoDaddy account and go to the "My Account" section. You should see an option for "Domain Auctions" or similar. Once you find that, look for your auction history.

If there is a money-back guarantee for the auction you participated in, then you should see an option to request a refund there. Sometimes, it may not be straightforward, so pay attention to any fine prints regarding the refund process.

If all you see is the "Gold As Gold" and bank transfer options, it could be that GoDaddy has specific restrictions on fund withdrawal. The dashboard can be a bit misleading, and it is not uncommon for people to miss relevant options.

Regarding your PayPal, having only a debit card registered shouldn't be a problem. Just check if your PayPal account is verified. GoDaddy usually only allow transfers to verified PayPal accounts, so that might be the snag. If it's not, you can verify your account by linking a bank account or confirming your identity.

In the case that you're still unable to find a direct option to withdraw to PayPal, I recommend reaching out to GoDaddy customer support. They are usually quite responsive and can guide you through the process. Explain the issue clearly and mention that you want to withdraw your funds to PayPal, and they should help you out.

GoDaddy has been playing with payment options for a few years now. From what I've seen: if PayPal isn't shown, it probably doesn't work for that payment on GoDaddy (your location, your currency, your service - there are many reasons).

For instance, when I buy a domain using a discount code, PayPal isn't always available, and I have to use my credit card, which my UK bank then charges two pounds as a foreign fee. But if I do it without a discount, PayPal shows up, and I can pay. It's not exactly the same case, but I guess it might be alike for you.

In you GoDaddy account, you need to put your PayPal info in your profile.

Later, during the auction, you present this profile which has your PayPal info noted.

Every time you send a domain for auction, you need check the box in your profile, where the PayPal is mentioned.

Then, you wait for the funds after the sell, which usually takes around 6 to 12 working days.
