How to sell domain names faster?

I own a portfolio of 180 domain names, primarily .com. I spent around $8,000 to purchase them through godaddy.com auctions with the intention of generating revenue.

After 4-5 months since acquiring the domains, only 2 have been sold. My current focus is not on profit, but rather on recouping my investment as soon as possible.

I would greatly appreciate suggestions on how to efficiently sell these domains. Which platforms should I utilize and who should I reach out to? The domains cover a range of topics.

Thank you in advance for any advice.

To receive an evaluation of your domains, it's recommended to post the full list in the appropriate section of a forum and adhere to the rules. Members of the community will provide valuable feedback and recommendations. In addition, this can be a great opportunity to expand your knowledge on the topic.

Just set the price to 2/3 of the amount you paid for them ;D . Well, this is certainly the worst option. In general, you need to think about why they are not sold after purchase (I give advice - the time to defrost has not yet come). There are many ways to get money back, from creating and promoting sites under these domain names, ending with good PR for these domain names.

Perhaps you are placing these ads on the wrong advertising platform where you need to. But most likely they were sold to you at an auction for a couple of times more expensive than their cost.

Of course, it is best to sell according to the principle of a person - a person, well, maximum through a trusted person (do not forget about the fee of 15%), but if the situation is that the names are not popular, then you can try to sell through an auction (yes, there is also a fee, but what to do?). I recommend dynadot.com. Here they sell and buy both cheap names for $15, and for a couple of thousands (I myself sold a couple of pieces here for $3,000). You can try your luck at flippa.com.

There is no way that you can immediately sell your domain names, but there are many ways and mechanisms that will speed up the search for potential buyers. The first is smm. Social networks are a good source for finding clients and advertising their domain names. The second is one-pagers. One-page sites are a good funnel for luring buyers. And finally, thematic forums and a website (if there are really a lot of domain names).

There are various methods and locations to sell a domain both quickly and successfully.
Researching popular domain auctions and their reviews is a recommended first step. Selecting a popular site with a high level of security may increase the chances of a favorable transaction.

Before setting a starting price, utilizing domain valuation services and analyzing similar sales can be helpful. To ensure a secure transaction, consider using a reliable auction organizer for direct sale to a potential buyer. Additionally, professional services can also be utilized.

You can't just buy a bunch of names and expect 'em to sell like hotcakes. It's like plantin' a garden, you gotta nurture those domains, and sometimes, they just ain't gonna bloom.

You gotta get your domains out there where people can see 'em. Namecheap, GoDaddy, and Sedo are some of the big players in the domain aftermarket. But if you're lookin' to reach a bigger audience, you might wanna consider some of the domain marketplaces like Uniregistry, Afternic, or Dan.com. They've got a wider reach, but they're gonna take a bigger cut of your profits too.
You're thinkin' like a buyer, not a seller. You gotta put yourself in the shoes of the person who's gonna wanna buy your domains. What are they lookin' for? Short, memorable names that are easy to spell and pronounce. You've got 180 domains, and I bet a good chunk of 'em ain't like that. So, you gotta be realistic about what you're sellin'.

You gotta be proactive, not just sit back and wait for the offers to roll in. There are domain investor communities out there, like NamePros and DNForum, where you can network with other domainers and maybe find some buyers. But you gotta be smart about it. Don't just spam the forums with your domains. Engage in the community, build relationships, and then, once you've got some trust, start talkin' about your portfolio.
Twitter and LinkedIn are great places to connect with potential buyers. But again, you gotta be smart about it. Don't just post a list of your domains and expect people to buy 'em. Share your story, your vision, and why you think your domains are worth investin' in.

But here's where you're really droppin' the ball, buddy. You're sayin' your focus is on recoupin' your investment, not profit. That's backwards thinkin', my friend. You gotta be thinkin' about the long game. Sure, you wanna recoup your investment, but you gotta be willin' to hold onto your domains until you can make a profit. Otherwise, you're just gonna be sellin' at a loss.
And another thing, you gotta be willin' to negotiate. You can't just stick a price on your domains and expect people to pay it. You gotta be willin' to haggle, to meet in the middle. That's how you make a sale.

It's astonishing that you spent $8,000 on a portfolio of domains without doing proper research. Now, you're trying to recoup your investment by selling domains that are likely worthless. The domain industry is oversaturated, and buyers are scarce. Instead of trying to sell your domains, consider writing them off as a loss and focusing on educating yourself about the industry.

If you still want to try to sell, use platforms like eBay and Craigslist, but don't expect to get much for your domains. You might also consider reaching out to domain industry experts, but be prepared for them to tell you that your domains are worthless. The sooner you accept reality, the better.
