I have two domains linked to my control panel on the Timeweb hosting website. A while ago, I discovered that there is another domain linked to my website, and I am not sure how it got there or how it is connected to me. When I contacted tech support, they informed me that they would need to escalate the issue to their legal department, and that the deadline for resolving it was a month. After this period had passed, I received a reply stating that the company does not provide hosting services and is not the administrator or owner of the dmayscom.fr domain, and therefore cannot remove any content from it.
However, all the content is actually on my account and is being displayed on someone else's domain. This situation seems nonsensical, and I am unsure what could be causing it.

It's possible that someone is displaying a copy of your website by proxying your server's response on their own. This may be an attempt to get into the search engine index and sell traffic or links. To investigate this further, you can check your access_log to see where the requests are coming from. Once you identify the source, you can ban it by opening a random or unique page.

In the case that you have the time to do so and your store is an LLC, it might be worth considering filing a police report about the copyright of the content. This could help to locate and interrogate the domain administrator, as this is a criminal offense. However, there is also the possibility that the domain was registered under false information and paid for with fake currency. It's important to take measures to protect your website and its content from unauthorized use.

To address this, you should take immediate steps to safeguard your own domains. Start by reviewing the domain registration details and ensuring that the contact information is accurate and up to date. Verify the domain management account's security settings, such as passwords, and consider implementing additional security measures like two-factor authentication if available.
Next, document the unauthorized linkage. Take thorough screenshots and gather any relevant evidence that demonstrates the content from your account being displayed on the dmayscom.fr domain. This documentation can be crucial if legal action becomes necessary.

It's essential to retain all correspondence with the hosting company and their legal department. This includes emails, support tickets, and any other communication related to the unauthorized linkage. A comprehensive paper trail will serve as valuable evidence of your attempts to resolve the issue.

Considering the seriousness of this situation, seeking legal advice is highly recommended. A legal professional with expertise in domain law can provide guidance on available options for recourse and potential avenues for resolution. It may be necessary to escalate the matter to higher authorities such as ICANN or relevant legal bodies specializing in domain disputes.

Continue to press the hosting company for a resolution, emphasizing the impact of the unauthorized linkage on your business and the urgency of the situation. Be persistent in your efforts to ensure that the issue is addressed promptly and effectively, and consider outlining the potential financial and reputational damages incurred due to the unauthorized linkage.

Keep meticulous records of all expenses associated with addressing this issue, as you may be entitled to compensation for any damages sustained. This could include legal fees, loss of business, and other related costs. Additionally, consider exploring options for mitigating the impact of the unauthorized linkage on your online presence and reputation during this challenging period.
