I have some inquiries about domain parking. Major parking sites offer the option to park domains with different extensions such as .pro, .xyz and so on. I am wondering if domains with these extensions are profitable for revenue or if it's better to stick with .com domains only.

I would greatly appreciate your prompt response as I am considering purchasing a domain with one of these extensions.

Thank you for taking the time to read my message.

Best regards.

Based on my experience, I would highly suggest not engaging in this activity, though it is technically possible to do so without any restrictions. In the past, I have listed .xyz domain names on Sedo, only to discover afterwards that they were being targeted by bots or some other form of automated program, which ultimately resulted in our account being banned permanently. It's possible that even years after we no longer owned these domains, they were still being bombarded with automated traffic.
Therefore, I would strongly recommend that only .com or .org domain names be listed for parking purposes. However, ultimately the decision is up to you.

It's worth noting that the use of bots to generate traffic to a website can not only lead to a permanent ban on the platform where the site is hosted, but can also result in severe penalties from search engines like Google. Instead, it's better to focus on organic traffic generation methods that are sustainable and won't put your online presence at risk.

When it comes to domain parking, it's generally believed that .com domains tend to be more valuable and potentially more profitable. This is because .com domains are the most widely recognized and sought after by internet users. However, there can still be some level of profitability with domains using other extensions such as .pro or .xyz. It ultimately depends on various factors including the specific domain name, its marketability, and the demand for it.

If you're considering purchasing a domain with one of these extensions, I would recommend doing some research on the potential market value and demand for that particular extension. Look into similar domain sales and check if there is an active marketplace for buying and selling domains with that extension. This information should help you make a more informed decision.

Here are a few more factors to consider when evaluating the profitability of domains with different extensions:

1. TLD (Top-level domain) popularity: Different TLDs have varying levels of recognition and trust among internet users. .com is the most popular and widely recognized, followed by country-specific TLDs such as .co.uk or .de. If you choose an extension that is less well-known or not commonly used, it may affect the potential profitability of the domain.

2. Target audience: Consider the target audience for your domain. If you are targeting a specific industry or niche, it may be worth exploring extensions that are commonly associated with that particular market. For example, if you're in the technology sector, a .tech extension might be more relevant than a .xyz extension.

3. SEO considerations: .com domains tend to have an advantage in search engine optimization (SEO) as they often rank higher in search engine results. However, with effective SEO strategies and content marketing, you can still drive traffic to domains with other extensions.

4. Branding and memorability: A catchy and memorable domain name is more likely to attract visitors and potentially generate revenue through advertising or selling products/services. Regardless of the extension, focus on choosing a domain name that is brandable and easy to remember.

In summary, while .com domains are generally considered more valuable, there can still be opportunities for profitability with other extensions. Evaluate factors such as popularity, target audience, SEO, and branding when deciding which extension is best suited for your specific domain and business goals.
