Epik has a positive aspect, although they are not interested in cash and tend to misuse it. This position seems to be common in most markets. I am referring specifically to the middle market segment, which includes Masterbucks, but there appear to be no issues with registrars unless domain registration is hindered due to insufficient funds, which often leads to Epik utilizing these "missing" funds for personal expenses.

But end users need not worry, as they can purchase domains from the EPIK MARKETPLACE without issue.

Two instances come to mind in which Epik's approach was suspect. One included an arrangement I made to sell a domain to an individual from a foreign country, Country 1 (C1), where the public price, A, exceeded the private price, B. While such pricing discrepancies can occur due to several factors, including bribery or making the buyer feel special, only one person could obtain the reduced price. Consequently, although almost agreed to, the buyer opted for a strange delay before ultimately purchasing it for price B. Nothing was amiss initially, but the current owner appeared to be from a different country, Country 2 (C2), with little connection to C1. During the Epik push period, which lasts 60 days, someone may have purchased it at the public price A, and yet, I was told that it sold for price B. I don't blame them for anything, and there is no way to confirm what occurred.

Things have escalated since then. Domains are registered at low promotional prices, but it doesn't take long for agents to request them, usually at triple the initial price. However, after I did this, Epik notified me an hour later that the domain had been sold but at the original cheap price. I want to be treated differently since I was deceived, and they lied about the selling price, although I have evidence to prove my case. The current situation is that they are ignoring me, and I have warned them on several occasions. This behavior is unacceptable, and if the issue is not addressed, it may be considered a scam.

Epik may seem fraudulent, but end users needn't be concerned about their money or domains' safety unless they choose to sell or spend their money there. If you come across a reasonably priced domain, go ahead and purchase it from Epik instead of going through a third-party agent. It's essential to note that I am not implying that other marketplaces are better, but selling domains at a cost below their value is unacceptable. If Epik does not address this flaw, it will continue to be an enormous problem.

I inquired with Epik regarding a problem where the renewal does not update automatically after payment. The system responded that it had been addressed.

I'm curious if anyone has attempted to renew their domain through Epik and, if so, what their experience was?

I would recommend documenting all the instances where you feel misled or deceived by Epik. Keep records of any communications, transactions, and evidence that supports your claims. If you have evidence that proves discrepancies in pricing or sales, it will be essential in addressing your concerns with Epik.

As for the specific incident with the domain sale to an individual from Country 1, it's understandable that you are questioning the process and the eventual purchaser from Country 2. It's important to communicate your concerns with Epik and request clarification on how the sale was finalized at the different price.

Regarding the escalation of domains being registered at low promotional prices and then quickly sold at higher prices, it's crucial to provide evidence of these occurrences to Epik and express your dissatisfaction with the handling of these transactions. Transparency and fair treatment are essential in any marketplace, and it's reasonable to expect clear and honest communication from the registrar.

It's important to approach the situation with professionalism and clearly outline your grievances with Epik. Request a formal review of the incidents and ask for a resolution to address the issues that have arisen. It's also beneficial to clarify your expectations for future transactions and interactions with Epik.

If you feel that your concerns are not being adequately addressed and that the behavior of Epik is unacceptable, you may consider seeking legal advice or reporting the matter to relevant consumer protection authorities. It's essential to protect your interests and ensure fair treatment in any business relationship.

In the meantime, you can explore alternative options for domain registration and marketplace services to meet your needs while awaiting a response from Epik.
