Title: Link hosting to domain name
Post by: satyampandey on Nov 10, 2022, 02:22 AM
The legal entity has a registered hosting, with the domain being held at Infolada. Infolada's registration is also under the name of the legal entity.

However, according to Infolada's technical support, they cannot register DNS servers. To transfer the domain to another registrar, the legal entity needs to reissue dоcuments. The other option available is for the legal entity to register a new domain and redirect it from the old one.

As for other options on how to link the domain to the site, it's hard to say without more information on the specific situation. One possible suggestion is to explore using a domain forwarding service, which could potentially solve the issue without having to register a new domain or reissue dоcuments.

If the domain is registered with Infolada, connecting to the DNS wizard service can allow for the addition of DNS records. While personally unfamiliar with Infolada, it's likely possible to transfer the domain directly to oneself.

The second option would be changing the NS domain records to either hosting records or those of a third-party provider. If there's a possibility of changing hosting in the future, it's recommended to go with the second option. As for email, using third-party mail services is a great option, as it can be both free and limitless in size. Afterwards, the hosting can be linked via A records.

every hosting provider may have different methods of connecting domains to their services, so it's best to consult the specific instructions provided by one's chosen hosting platform.

You could use a subdomain (e.g., yourdomain.yourhostingservice.com) provided by your hosting service. This option avoids domain registration hassles but might not align with your desired branding.
