Hi there!

I'm curious about how to list a premium domain for sale on Sedo. When I try to add it, the max price shows $10,000, but I want to sell it for higher...

How do I ajust the price?

(please assist - no spaming)

When you're adding a domain to Sedo, they typically ask you to set a price range. Now, the reason you're seeing that $10,000 cap might be because of the initial default pricing tier Sedo assigns to domains when you list them. But don't worry, you can set a higher price; it just takes a few extra steps.

Go to Your Listings: After you've added the domain, go to your "My Domains" section. You should see the domain listed there, along with its current pricing information.

Adjust the Price: Click on the domain you want to adjust. There should be an option to edit the sales details. Now, if you see that price limit again, look for an option that mentions "premium pricing" or "negotiation range". Sometimes, you'll need to enable negotiations to lift that cap.

Contact Sedo Support: If the interface still limits you, there might be a special approval process for higher prices. Sedo often reviews premium domains, especially if you're aiming for a high price. Drop them an email or use their support chat – let them know you want to list your domain for more than $10,000, and they'll guide you on how to do that.

Use Sedo's Premium Domain Services: If your domain is truly top-notch, consider applying for Sedo's Premium Domain Brokerage service. They assign a broker to your domain, and they can help set a higher price point. Plus, they'll market it more aggressively, which might be just what you need.

Set a Minimum Offer: While setting a high price, make sure to also set a minimum offer. This helps weed out low-ball offers and lets buyers know you're serious about your price.

Enable Auction: Another strategy is to list it for auction with a reserve price that reflects your desired minimum. Auctions can drive up the price if there's enough interest, and Sedo's auctions often attract serious buyers.

So, that's the gist of it. The key is to either navigate their pricing system properly or get in touch with support if you run into limits.

About that premium auction...

First off: placing a bid there'll cost you $10 now, but you ain't guaranteed a spot.

Second: if your valuation is higher than what they think, they might reject it without tellin' you why, and that $10? They ain't giving it back.

Thirdly: if you reckon the domain is worth $10,000, don't hesitate to value it at $10—this could actually get folks interested.

Now, if you're just listing a regular domain on Sedo with standard terms, set the price to zero with an option for others to make an offer. The chances of someone dropping $10,000 are slim to none. But if they do bite, be ready to close the deal within a month tops, with all the needed paperwork on hand.

Add the domain into the evaluation topic.

If that domain got real value, we will take a look at it. Then, it'll be more clear if it's worth spending $10K for Sedo's appraisal.

To list a premium domain for sale on Sedo, you need to upgrade your account to a higher tier, which allows for higher price listings. Sedo offers various pricing plans, including a "Premium" plan that allows for listings up to $50,000. You can upgrade your account by contacting Sedo's customer support.
