Hi, I'm looking for a writing course in the UK, especially one that focuses on video game writing. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Hi there! I'm not an expert, but I did hear about an online school that offers a course specifically on video game writing. I don't remember all the details, but I saved the link to their site: https://uk.elvtr.com/course/video-game-writing You can check it out to see if it meets your needs. They should have all the information you're looking for there.

For a comprehensive and industry-recognized program, consider the BA (Hons) Writing for Games at the University of Central Lancashire. This three-year undergraduate degree covers the fundamentals of game writing, narrative design, and storytelling, with a focus on developing your skills in the video game industry.

Another option is the MA Writing for Games at the University of Hertfordshire, a one-year postgraduate degree that delves deeper into advanced game writing techniques, narrative structure, and character development.

If you're looking for a more specialized course, the National Film and Television School's (NFTS) one-year MA Games Writing program is designed to equip you with the skills to write compelling game narratives and dialogue.

However, be wary of courses that promise to "teach you how to become a game writer overnight" or guarantee a job in the industry. Remember that becoming a successful game writer requires dedication, hard work, and a passion for storytelling.
